Thank You for that post, and the background information. It seems to confirm some points Mr. Lost Tribe suggests, including

entire Tribe of Levi ... remained with Judah and Benjamin (who became known as "Jews" following the conquest of the lower kingdom by Nebuchadnezzar).

who are Jews, and when they were first called that.

The upper kingdom was conquered by the Assyrians several hundred years earlier and the "10 Tribes" sent into exile. Their identity today is not known, although many different theories have been put forth, one of which (although by no means the most credible) is LT's one-note mating call.

Hmmm.  Do you think anyone who has a theory has the obligation to promote everyone elses theory also?

While the identity of the "lost tribes" is a legitimate topic for debate in the Religion forum, it is irrelevant, inappropriate and downright rude to barge in on every Mideast current events threads.

Well, I certainly don't agree that it is wrong for any FR member to enter ANY discussion on Free Republic.  This is after all an open and FREE forum.  If he sees what he believes to be an error in fact, or even one of theory, and it occurs over and over again, do you think he should just ignore it?  Or is he free to enter the Free Republic discussion?

Regards.

There is a word for someone who interrupts every thread with the same message, whether it is remotely relevant to the topic or not. This is called SPAMMING. It doesn't matter if you are selling a product or promoting an agenda. SPAM is SPAM.
