Workers in ERs get to meet a lot of strippers. The girls make good money, but are often hookers and have many diseases that are associated with prostitutes. Their dancing life begins in pathology and leads them farther in--most have a vehement distaste for men because they always see them at their worst. Many are college students, and many do a "business" after hours. At the very least, they live in the world of vice, hookers, and pimps and might be bringing some of that into the school's atmosphere and the little girl's home.

Actually, I think that they should have kept the little girl in school, but I understand their problems. They are offering an alternative for parents already beleaguered with shame and worldliness, and should be free to make this decision.

It is quite unfair that the pastor's efforts to help the woman away from this very unpleasant and dangerous world is met with jeers.

btw, oph, I've been lurking for a long time and I truly enjoy your posts....I have to go put my kids on the public school bus now (how's that for irony!)...I hope we can agree to disagree on this one.

I guess it just hits a soft spot for me....we're happy with our little "Mayberry RFD" Elementary school now...but I see what's coming down the pike for public schools even in my little town. We're hoping to be able to put the kids in a Christian school in the next 2 years.

There's plenty of kinder schools, but she *chose*, of her own free will, this particular one, and agreed to that school's terms. Why are you defending fraudulent behaviour?
