Probably not since his first attack took place 2 weeks after Chandra's disappearance.

First, jogging bras are standard equipment when you hate bras and like comfort, not only joggers wear them. Two, no female jogger jogs with a backpack. Third, this guy looks good for the crime except for the backpack, maybe she was walking not jogging. Most predatory guys will "work up" to a killing. They start with acting out a crime and finally kill. So the judge was right, this was no ordinary smash and grab guy, otherwise he would be taking things. I wonder about how close these attacks were to chandra's body. I still think she met condit there, they fought, he left and she may have gone walking,,was this path connected to the Mansion? Condit may be the worlds unluckiest sleaziest dirt bag

I'd think his first attack was the one on Chandra, there being no other missing women or reports of assaults.

So, if she (chandra) was the first, where was this guy before then (before may1)?

I suppose rapists/killers always have a first time, but it seems more likely that this fellow has a criminal history that precedes may1 2001.

Had he just gotten out of jail?

If she really went jogging, why wouldn't she have left some unpacked clothes to change into before leaving on her trip?

I think we are all missing the point. The phone chat between Levy and Conduits wife triggered Conduits wife into coming to DC. This visit of hers, was not planned by any means. This five-minute chat between the two likely ignited a bad situation. It is quiet likely that Levy was packing up and leaving DC for three reasons. Number one was a new job in California, number two was her supposed pregnancy with Conduits child, and number three...the promise of Conduit to dump his wife. He probably didn't mean number three but Levy was naive enough to believe and told the wife in strong language that she was out of the picture. The wife came into DC....called Levy and asked for a meeting in the middle of nowhere, near a park where the body was found. The two likely chatted, and an arguement ensued. Nothing was settled, and the wife left in a hurry. Levy started walking back through the woods, and happened to run into the Predator, who killed her. No one knows that the wife was out there and no one saw the two together, so the damage assessment team told Conduit and the wife to play stupid. The wife knows it looks bad for her, but she didn't kill Levy....she was simply the last one to see her alive.

They were on the same trail, a trail this guy must have explored to find the best spots for his plans. I'd be surprised if the attacks were more than a mile or so apart.

Here's what is getting me about this. How in heavens could the DC police not realize last summer when this guy was arrested that maybe, just maybe, there was some similarity to the Levy case...

She wore clothes to visit Condit, changed to enjoy a pleasant jog/walk home.

On May 1, the first day w/o a membership she could have looked up local jogging paths on her computer and then left to go jog the trail.

Her bags all packed up, the last thing she's going to do before taking off for home is go jogging?? No way, IMO -- you get yourself all sweatied up, no change of clothes, no towel for a shower after, but you're ready to catch a cab out to the airport in your dirty, sweaty jogging attire ... that don't add up. My sister wears workout clothes on cross-country plane trips, they're more comfortable for her. But she doesn't run or workout in them before she gets on the plane. Chandra Levy was NOT out jogging in that park that fateful last day.

I'm so angry over this, and the fact they "couldn't find it" because "it" was in a more secluded, overgrown area. Wouldn't you concentrate more in an area like that, IF you were trying to find "it?" Grrrr!
