I quit playing when I was 5 and if it wasn't productive I wasn't interested. In fact the first day of kintergarden I left and walked home 2 miles and told my mother I wasn't going back that all they did there was play with toys and blocks and that I wasn't going to grow up to be a bead stringer.
I taught myself to arc weld at 8 and was building hot rods and at 12 I drove my first dragster at Santa Ana in 1949 and went 128.
Where was this teacher when I was 13!
