Only 55,101 have signed so far. I think there should be more.

The "bang_list" is the 2nd amendment interest subgroup here on FR. FR has many such interest groups. The following URL will point your web browser to all threads on FR thus flagged:

It is sad there are so few signatures on this petition. Where is the vaunted power of FR to "get the word out"?

Think about this-----You are a terrorist--you plan to hijack an airliner. You have a way to overpower the passengers. There are two different airliners you are considering. ON ONE, THE FLIGHT CREW WILL BE HEAVELY ARMED, on the other they are known to be unarmed. Which one would you choose?

I'm not exactly new to the internet, or FreeRepublic, but I haven't the faintest notion what "bttt" means. Did you say something nice, or was it an insult?

LOL, it means "bump to the top", it keeps your thread showing up on the latest post page and in the view of readers who might want to take a peek at your thread. Oh, and LOL means "laughing out loud", not an insult.

A good petition: happy to sign it. Anyone responsible enough to fly airliners (hundreds of lives and multi-million dollar planes) is responsible enough to handle firearms.

Liberals don't think so.

Correction: Liberals don't think.. Problem is, they think they do, when all they do is parrot.
