The Port Authority owns the site, so it is government-owned. They are not going to put something up that does not make them any money. Even a public park and memorial would bring in more dough than this.
There is another reason why this idea is absurd. The top public high school in the city, Stuyvesant High School, is located six blocks north of Ground Zero, in a new building.
Just shows the lack of knowledge her and her staff have for the area they serve.

This will be a special place where privileged young comrades will gather to revolutionary songs, and trade ideological notes!

I think this is a wonderful Idea. The future generations can see exactly what her husband did to this country first hand!

Okay, New Yorkers, start doing your homework!! Look what happened to the kids in Arkansas while the Clintons were governing in that state! Arkansas dropped from 50th to 51st in ratings in education (for those of you in New York, 51st is bottom of the scale).

Thanks for the info. I was wondering about that. I'm wondering if she knows exactly about all of this, but, figures the dumbies that voted for her don't. She sounds oh so compassionate and P.C.*gag*

I was going to point that out as well.
Stuyvesant is extravagantly appointed.

Top secret drawing of Hillary's plan:
To: areafiftyone
I know nothing about NYC, but wasn't the WTC in the middle of the financial district? That just seems weird having a high school in the middle of the financial district. I suppose she'll want it named after her greatness.
To: areafiftyone
I guess she has to change the subject, now that the "Bush Knew" tactic has backfired.
Any time Hillary's ambitions backfire, she'll always drag out some sort of idea that's "for the children."
To: Paul Atreides
WTC was in the financial district. But Battery Park City is real close and the school would probably be for people living there and also the financial district was starting to boom before 9/11 for real estate. Alot of office space was being converted to lofts. We don't need a school downtown - This is just proving how little the Beast knows about New York. She is a total idiot and is proving that every day.

Perfect location for the Clinton Library and Legacy Center. Or, just leave the hole and name it the 'Clinton Legacy'.

Maybe Hillary should stick to "hunting" and "claiming she's black..."

Didn't Stuy sustain a lot of damage from nasty stuff sucked in through its air vents?
Why not incorporate a new Stuy into a new WTC complex? As long as it is purely merit-based on both the teacher and student side, and paid for by the Saudi perps, that is.

Just shows the lack of knowledge her and her staff have for the area they serve. You don't get it, do you? We're here to serve Her Royal Heinous. Or at least that's how she and her minions act...
And I know that my Stuyvesant grad dad will definitely agree that it's the best public high school in NYC -- something he likes to teasingly argue with Bronx Science alums. :-D

Didn't Stuy sustain a lot of damage from nasty stuff sucked in through its air vents? The "damage" has been vastly overstated and the air vents have been cleaned.
Why not incorporate a new Stuy into a new WTC complex?
Um, because the current one is still fairly new and the city's coffers aren't exactly overflowing these days?
As long as it is purely merit-based on both the teacher and student side, and paid for by the Saudi perps, that is.
Anyway, kids need to take a test in order to go to school there, so it's not like anyone who just lives there would be able to attend.
To: NYC GOP Chick
Well, isn't this a charming idea? Building a school on the site of a horrific act of war. Gee, won't the kids enjoy going to school knowing that their school is sitting upon a graveyard? Won't they just love having dances and other school events at the site where thousands of people were slaughtered? Just what these kids need...
Hilliary, you are truly an excremental excuse for a human being.
