Teri DiLibero is putting politics aside at a time when her country needs her most.
"This is an American project, not a political one. We feel it is important," says the Pennsylvania woman who helped dream up the popular "Sore/Loserman" slogan during the last presidential election, and before that made news with her "End Intern Abuse" motto.

Sorry - McCaslin's - I was trying to hold my egg/bacon sandwich and type with one hand. Oh well, this is good for another bump.

If you come to the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta, perhaps we can get a all FReeper chase crew together!

A BIG BUMP!!!, but please make sure to put little sticky notes in these to tab Article 4, Section 4:
"The United States shall guarantee to each state in the union a republican form of government...", and also inform people that the words
"democracy", "education", "health care", and "separation of church and state" ARE NOT IN IT ANYWHERE!
(PS: That's republican with a small "r" and democracy with a small "d" so you can maintain your non-partisan status)

McCaslin is at it again. Love it. Congrats abner. I'll let you know when the baloonfest is scheduled here in Hershey.

A-yep. An excellent point that I (gently but firmly!) bounce off of people all the time:
The word "Democracy" is not in the DOI, USC or BOR ANYWHERE. Read them and see for yourself! This never fails to get dumbfounded looks. I then ask, "Why would that be so?". You can hear the gears start to grind as they struggle to get their minds into first gear. The simple truth is that the founding fathers were not interested in establishing Democracy -- they were focused on creating a political system that best guaranteed individual liberty. They saw pure democracy as merely tyranny of the many just as monarchyies/dictatorship were usually tyranny of the one. The United States is a Constitutional Republic, NOT a Democracy.
You have to be sure to make your case in sound bites, so that they have a better chance of remembering...

All I can think of to say is, "WOW!"

The United States is a Constitutional Republic, NOT a Democracy. It is amazing how often we hear even politicians use the term "democracy."
Totally Awesome!:

Another great press hit Abner. CNN, Philly Enquirer, CBS and now the Washington Times.
Having been there for the inaugural launch I can honestly say that the pictures (while awesome) don't do the balloon justice. It's truly an amazing and awe inspiring sight to behold.
To: kristinn; abner
This is great! I wish I could see it in person, it must be awsome.
