"Again - EXCELLENT analysis! Just to let you know John, have sent off to MANY media outlets."Good job Elkie. I hope you make it a practice.
John--wonderful 2 Cents. The Clymers in the leftstream presstitution racket are so dishonest. Again, a pox on their intellectually bankrupt houses.....

Excellent, John, and thanks for the ping. May all of the media's best (and worst) efforts at hobbling this President continue to boomerang.

" And...it's possible that agents could have identified all 19 hijackers and still not figure out what they were up to. That, one former FBI official suggests, could have led to the cruelest September 11 scenario of all: 'We would have had the FBI watching them get on the plane in Boston and calling Los Angeles', he says. 'Could you pick them up on the other end?'" This is exactly what would have happened.
Until the media can find one person that could have told us who, what, how, when, or where I wish they would just sit down and shut up!
But, that won't happen.
I enjoyed your 2cents very much, JH2. I try to never miss it!

Aside from "Yellow Journalism," the Newsweek story underlines the major weakness of our news media: laziness. The two print giants -- NY Times and Washington Post -- do the investigative reporting, and the balance of the media parasitically rehashes and regurgitates their work.
I remember watching Fox News one morning, in the thick of the battle in Afghanistan, and the foreign correspondent in Islamabad was reporting, verbatim, a New York Times front-page article of that day. I remember thinking "All that money spent in positioning this guy, bodyguards, security, satellite links, etc. -- and he's parroting a story from a U.S. paper -- unbelievable!"
With reference to the CIA story in the NYT, Fox News picked up on it back in October, I believe -- and are now chortling with self-congratulatory glee that they "reported it first."
The most frustrating thing about this news monopoly is that there is so much room for refutation and analysis in the Times and Post stories -- heck, sometimes even re-arranging the graphs, so artfully edited to present a certain slant -- can, and does change the entire story in some instances. In other cases, you'll find NYT stories on a related topic -- separated by months -- that use the same facts with entirely different twists.
Maybe these other so-called "journalists" don't have the sources or the clout of the NY and DC giants, but if they would get up off their smug and lazy butts, and actually do some research, they might be able to balance the news with facts, rather than play the never-ending parrot game.

Despicable isn't strong enough a word for it, however. But it ain't working; in fact, all attempts, whether by media slugs or political opponents, to weaken or hobble this President have boomeranged -- backfired, big time, and will continue to do so. Incidentally, the Newsweek "bombshell" is already falling apart with reports late tonight that CIA, in fact, had notified FBI months earlier than the story implied. So who is to blame for 9/11 -- who bears full responsibility?
Hey, here's a novel idea: The terrorists, that's who.
Here, here. Well said John, thanks.
