I knew someone would pick up on that statement I made about IF Damon telling the truth about the cleaning. What I thought at the time is that, on that issue for the point I was making, it didn't matter whether Damon was lying -- which is fortunate (that old joke demsux made seems very appropriate for DvD). So, if he's lying and he did clean up, then evidence of DW could have existed but would have been wiped away by his cleaning. (& yes, I recognize that the rest of the house is separate from the DW lurking in the closet issue).

The Judge has statet that only the events of the night in question will be allowed. When the defense tried to ask about a halloween party, it was stopped.

The events of that night are germaine as are the relationships of all the persons in question, but I doubt that it will go much farther than that. The fact is, the number of persons and the arrivals/departures do narrow the windows of opportunity for the kidnapping to have occurred, and those times need to be established.

I do not believe the parent's sexual pecadilloes will in the end overcome the physical evidence in the MH. JMO.

Barlf, yes, I did hear him say that. I replayed it a couple times just to make sure I was hearing it right. I hope you're watching this morning's testimony--it's dynamite. Brenda on now, but earlier, it appears they will prove that Danielle died well after February 5th. That might be the physical evidence that Feldman promised.

Amore, one thing that came out in the opening statements--the police didn't interview the van Dams separately. They found out about the lies from the others at the "party."

BVD very hesitant to answer, and "cannot remember" when she had first face-to-face contact with DW. Admits she was face-to-face 4 or 5 times. Her memory starts with the Girl Scout cookie incidents.

In my dealings with him, he's pretty contentious and not shy about sharing his opinions. I think we tangled on a smoking thread. Now, I stay away from those guys. Life is just WAY too short for that.

It is unlikely because even now the VD's are more concerned with their reputations then with finding justice for their daughter.
