Campaign to Mobilize Christian Support for Israel

Campaign to Mobilize Christian Support for Israel (IsraelNN.com) A new campaign, called “Stand for Israel”, aims to mobilize 100,000 American churches and one million Christians to express solidarity with Israel. The campaign will be run by Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein, founder and president of the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews (which last year presented a $1 million check to the Jewish Agency for use in immigrant absorption), and Ralph Reed, former executive director of the Christian Coalition, a conservative religious movement in the US.

According to Rabbi Eckstein, “Jews are only now beginning to understand the depth of support they have among conservative Christians. Once the potential of this immense reservoir of good will is fully comprehended by the Jewish people and strategically tapped by the Stand For Israel campaign, you will see support for Israel in the United States swell dramatically.” Reed, for his part, said, “America has always cherished its friendship with Israel, and religious conservatives and evangelical Christians are among those who are its strongest supporters. This can be the most important constituency to influence a foreign policy debate since the end of the Cold War.”

The Stand For Israel campaign will include the launch of a web site, fax alerts, a media campaign and a briefing for Christian leaders with Israeli representatives.

Arutz 7 is a conservative news source, and most of it's readers and producers are religious. Please desist from posting "all jews are liberals"-crap, it's just not true.

Good news!

Jonatron - you are quite correct that not all Jews are lieberals. It is mostly restricted to the half-senile Roosevelt worshippers and their brain-damaged descendants. I, fortunately, do not suffer from such debilitating mental problems, nor do many members of my extended family. I know that many fellow Jewish Freepers would agree with me.

I am jewish and I am as concervative as it gets. Not all jews are liberal, but historically that's what we've been labeled as.

True, not all Jews are liberals, and I am glad you are not a liberal, but you do need to come to terms with the reality that the vast majority of them are. I also do not see why it is wrong or inappropriate to ask the question of why the vast majority of Jews are liberal.

I am glad you are conservative, but you must recognize the fact that now as well as historically the vast majority of Jews were very liberal, and hence the label is not entirely unjust.

Good, maybe they can quit sending eveyone's tax dollars over there and give us a tax break.

Then for those who support Israel can send them all the money they want, and quit stealing from those who don't support Israel..

Oh wait, that makes to much common sense...what was I thinking....

First of all, we're talking "liberal" as redefined by the modern-day leftists, not what it used to mean.

Nothing wrong with probing the facts, but do you think Moses was a liberal? You think Joshua was a liberal? You think Samuel was a liberal? You think King David was a liberal?

I would propse that perhaps Kings Saul and Soloman were liberals and look where it got them.

I think I'm starting to notice some of the stereotypical NPR-listening jewish liberal hordes coming around. Some of my friends that had supported Gore, now support Bush and laugh at the thought of "what if Gore had won."

Money is not sent to Israel, the aid goes to purchasing American products that get exported to Israel. Then for those who support Israel can send them all the money they want, and quit stealing from those who don't support Israel..

Oh wait, that makes to much common sense...what was I thinking....

I don't believe you actually were. Now why not go look into the aid and weapons the USA provides Egypt with.

The leftist tendency among Jews is, from what I have read, a phenomenon that started in the 19th century.

I hope you are right about it reversing.

I think you miss the point. ALL foreign aid from our government should stop, and never have been started.

This should be left to individuals and/or groups of individuals to support whatever cause it is they believe in.

Where you adopted by Jews, or are you Jewish and adopted by Gentiles?

Hey, the least we (Christians) can do is return the favor.
It's been Jewish commentators like Dennis Prager who have really publicized the
persecution and enslaving of Christians in places like Sudan.

Those are amusing thoughts. But in any case we know they were not Jews, but Israelites. (All Jews are Israelites, but not many Israelites are Jews.)

Yes, but many readers are unable to make the simple distinction between Hebrew, Semite, Israelite and Jew. (A click on my LostTribeProfile provides the answers.)
