These academic bastards are anti-America and anti-christ, please call your local papers, talk radio and state politicians. Help us get the word out.

I blame the liberal universities for much of what happened Sept 11 and before. Muslims have little contact with real Americans, they meet most Americans in the universities ---they formed an opinion of us from the limp-wristed liberals they've met and believed we were a very weak people ready for take-over. Eventually they'll find out ---but unfortunately the liberals actually have this country weakened for now.

I left academic medicine a couple of years ago. I felt like an outsider because of my conservative viewpoints. I agree you should contact your political representatives, any news organization that has conservative leanings, and possibly think of an antidefamation suit againt the University for your dismissal, and for the interference in your future positions. Put the heat on!

If they do not have the backbone to file legal papers...ignore them. It is too late in the day to hear of blatant discrimination with no follow-up legal action. That was 1970, this is 2002. In fact, I would consider this a hoax/urban legend because no mention of legal action is included.

From what I can see, Dr. Curtiss is or was a University of Wisconsin faculty member who teaches or taught resident physicians. I do not know if this entitles him to be considered a professor in the Wisconsin system, although if he lived where I do, he almost certainly would have a title similar to "Assistant Clincal Professor of Medicine." This leads me to look on it as an academic freedom case. Perhaps we should be trying to enlist one or more of the academic freedom organizations which work such cases. Here is a list including such organizations:

Lou Dobbs of CNN said correctly: "Terror is just a product produced by Islamist" Americans need to identify the enemy, and that enemy is "Isamist"
DECLARE WAR ON ISLAM NOW! anything else is politically correct B.S. that's going to destroy this country.

Get yer s**t together and sue sue sue. Your lawyer can make these university rats testify in a court of law about their dirty deads. They will be tripped up on their lies. You start making noises...Start having a lawyer write letters and they just might cave without much fuss.

Bump for later reference. Sounds like slander and defamation of character to me.

Methinks this story may be bogus.
Either English is a second language for this MD or else he failed English. Unless he is foreign born, this story must be bogus.

Yes, but we have diversity. Now you know what is meant by the use of the term.Further, your own government promotes this type of behavior.
People have not grasped the concept our leadership is bankrupt.

I recently purchased a 4 DVD set of history of WWII from Sam's Club. One of the "reels" spoke of Hitlers "5th column", the infiltrators sent in months or years in advance to "soften up" the population with propaganda to accept the Nazi invasion. They were also there to either protect vital strategic interests within the nations borders or hinder the military or civil defense when the invasion came.
I see no difference in what's happening today in the USA. Same tune, different drummer...

I do not wish to appear insensitive to your real plight -- but this can hardly be seen as rare or surprising in institutions of higher education.
When last I worked at a large state university (mid 1980's) they were already fervently anti-American -- and I don't just mean majorities, I mean there was only one line of thought that was acceptable and it was openly expected to be universal amongst those who worked there.
Of all the rot that we see afflicting this great country, there is no rot greater than in institutions of higher education. Nothing good can ever be expected from these cess pools. They are beyond redemption.

I interviewed and was offered a position at Michigan State. Somehow word of my new position got back to the people at University of Wisconsin. They called up my new employer. I was informed that Michigan state no longer had a position for me. See an employment lawyer and sue both universities. Sue MSU for breach of promise and Univesity of Wisconsin for slander. Also go after University of Wisconsin for academic freedom issues.
On the other hand, how naive can you be? The University of Wisconsin and Michigan State (my alma mater) are two of the most disgusting liberal and PC universities in the Midwest. Did you really think you could challenge these towel heads and get away with it. The only reason the university would have had them up there talking about Islam is to meet the universities idea of making nice and being sure that you and your associates do not think poorly of another culture. You by challenging them and suggesting that the aim of Islam was not love and that Islam was a cult undermined their effort and made it appear that you were a bigot for believing these things, especially since you were quoting the Bible. In the future, realize that there is no upside career wise to challenging these multiculturalists at PC universities.
