Egyptian Academics And Educated Elite Discuss Elimination of Israel

A recent article in the Jordan Times (Monday, June 17, 2002 AP) sheds lights and startles the reader on the current state of affairs in Egypt, even among the educated elite. At a seminar entitled “After the Demise of Israel,” that country’s educated elite made know its views on the elimination of Israel, in spite of what often appears to be the leading role taken by Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak in regional piece talks and in apparent disregard for the peace treaty signed between Egypt and Israel over ten years ago.

Relating to the title for the symposium, “After the Demise of Israel,” Salah Abdul Karim, deputy head of Egypt for Culture and Dialogue urged, “We should probe ways on how to bring that date sooner rather than later.”

Members of the symposium also called for the overthrow of regimes supporting peace with Israel. “We should fight this racist pocket (Israel) planted in the heart of the Arab nation,” said Karim. Islamic activist Hassan El Sayed clarified “Israel will collapse, it is doomed, but what is necessary is the collapse of the Arab system.”

Still other speakers added inflammatory remarks. Mohammed Hesham, a professor at the state-run Helwan University suggested that Israel would disappear “like the racist regime in South Africa.” Hesham presented the symposium participants with a paper on “Zionist Racism: A History With No Future.” Other symposium participants called for concrete action. “This entity will not collapse on its own, we should escalate its downfall,” urged Adel El Gogri, of the Al Ahrar daily.

The article notes the regretful irony: “Egypt, the most populous Arab country and Washington´s main ally in the region, was the first Arab country to sign a peace treaty with Israel in 1979.”

It seems that Egypt's 'intellectuals' aren't ashamed to reveal to the world how inferior they are as mere human beings.

They were also the first ones to get back the land they lost when they attacked Israel.

The ignorant bureaucrats at the US State Dept still think that Egypt Is our friends!

The intellectuals of ALL Islamic countries are our worst enemies. They are more exposed to our way of life, and they don't like it, and they are threatened by it! read my early comments on Moslem terrorists below:

Is our war against the Islamic fanatics is really a sex driven war? From the beginning of time the human animal addressed the basic biological need for sex, in a way much similar to animals. The men need sex basically for its pleasure, and the women need it mostly for propagating the human race. Thus men looked at women as a sex object? And women looked at men for protection/commitment. Since then, civilization and religions imposed different rules on the human animal, and sexuality. We cannot walk around naked, men cannot have as many wives as they want, men cannot beat the women if they refused to have sex with them, men cannot throw out women who become unattractive/old/back-talkers without paying dearly!......The problem with this picture is as the world civilization imposed artificial restriction on the male animal, the Islamic religion kept most of the animal privileges of the cave men to its followers. Islam was invented by a man, and to assure its propagation, it catered to men. At this point, Moslems who live in Moslem countries do not care how the rest of the world behaves. That is simply because most of these countries are still protecting the rights of the men to abuse women. However, there are two problems, first the Moslem men who visit the west are terrified from the amount of freedom our females have, and second, the new global village and the dominance of the Hollywood movies and American culture assures these backward people that there is no place to run or to hide from the new way of life, where women have equality. They fear the potential of revolts from their female population, and a continuous degradation of their rights to use and abuse women. ypt and saudi Arabia are our friends!

“This entity will not collapse on its own, we should escalate its downfall,” urged Adel El Gogri, of the Al Ahrar daily.

Perhaps he should consider that any "escalation" of Israel's downfall of the sort he obviously contemplates will result in an escalation to the nuclear level by Israel. In which case, these mind-numbed morons would do better to consider what life will be like in post-nuclear Egypt. IMHO it will be short and miserable for most of the population (i.e. more so than it is now).

Oh yea...the old Islamic Caliphate gambit. I forgot about Muslims yearning for "Islamic Caliphate Uber Alles". So, these Egyptians yearn for a return to the days of the Ottomans. Ah... it must bring a tear to their eyes when they remembers the good old days of cutting off hands and feet, poking out eyes and stoning women to death. And let us not forget how much joy their is in killing the infidel.

I can appreciate why these Muslims are so sad: consider what they've been missing.
