That was pubilc radio? The interviewer was astonished at the similarity of Padilla and the JD#2 sketch. WBUR is Boston's NPR affiliate. They've gotten in a little trouble lately with fundraising and the democrats.

Thanks! Glad you liked it. It was fun doing it, though a bit of strain trying to condense all that stuff into five minutes.

I'm all in favor of dropping "conspiracy theorist" from any future discussions of this story.

I love a good conspiracy yarn as much as the next guy, but I am trying to play this straight and do the reporting work to find the truth, whether he's the guy or not. If I find out he's not, I'll report it. If I find out he is (a much MUCH more difficult thing to prove), I'll report that too.

(Speaking of which, there's an update on the site today concerning dates on which I can verify Padilla's presence in Florida. I have him pegged as being in Florida up until December 1994, and after June 1995. Still working on the inbetween.)

A single citation on Dec. 28, 1994 could very well reflect a brief holiday visit on the part of Padilla to his girlfriend (soon to be his wife.) It need not mean he was spending most of his time in Florida at the time. Are there earlier citations in '94?

I appreciate all the good research on the Jose Padilla. The connections to McVeigh are interesting, to say the least. The additional media attention the subject of John Doe 2 has received has been invaluable to exposing the public to the Middle Eastern connection to the OKC bombing.

My question is this. What if tommorrow or next week proof is presented that Padilla was in Florida from 17 April thru 19-April 1995?

Will the media ever again give the question of John Doe 2 serious consideration? If someone brings forth proof in court that Al-Hussaini is John Doe 2 will the media ignore it since they went down the same path with Padilla?

Numerous eyewitnesses have placed Al-Hussaini with McVeigh on the days prior to the bombing and on the day of the bombing. We know Al-Hussaini was in OKC. Al-Hussaini has been connected to Abraham Ahmed, another ME connected to the bombing. Al-Hussaini was a former member of the Iraqi Republican guard. Why are we looking for another John Doe 2 until after Al-Hussaini is eliminated from the suspect list?

Yeah, I tend to agree with you. Speaking of that, does anyone have a photo of Hussaini? I've never seen what he looks like.
