"Most Texans will fight for secession and fight to be independent before they would agree to be handed over to Mexico on a silver platter"

You missed the central point of my piece: In a very short time, "most Texans" will BE mexicans. When that occurs..."most Texans" will NOT fight as you suggest, but rather will enthusiastically agree to be reunited with their homeland (which, as they see it, is the legitimate owner of Texas to begin with). At that point, the US will have one of several options:

1) Let them have Texas (hopefully with the preconditions that I mentioned before)

2) Fight an ongoing West Bank-style conflict, with soldiers from Indiana and Oregon chasing mexican rioters and guerilla fighters through squalid barrios under a hailstorm of rocks, molotov cocktails, and occasional pistolo fire.

3) Some form of demographic reversal (how is THAT for a delicate euphemism?)

4) Just to give the liberals their due...perhaps everyone will live together in love and peace despite the differences. The new Hispanic majority will treat the white minority there will love and respect...and they will eagerly become productive, law-abiding American citizens. In which case, the titanic demographic shifts in the SW will not affect geopolitics (this is never how history works out...but what the heck? there is a first time for everything)

"People like this will NEVER be satisfied no matter HOW much is given to them"

No they never will be satisfied. It's a basic feature of human nature. You give an inch; they will then want a yard. You give a yard, and they will then want a mile.

But if you take the position of, yeah this use to be your turf, but it is ours now, and we will defend it against you. It gives them cause to pause.

Wasn't a large portion of S. Calif part of "old Mexico" and separated from Mex. as a result of the Mex War?

If it all burns up, they can have it back. Otherwise, where is Zachary Taylor when you need him?

No the next move is not to close the Taco Bells. It is to love them and no matter what happens forgive them. We will dance towards them, scattering flowers. We will celebrate a gay marriage as symbolic of our union with Mexico. We will all think beautiful thoughts; tolerance, equality, votes for all, self esteem, education and the jury system.

The Bear Flag Revolt took place in Sonoma on July 14, 1846. The last battle fought in California during the Mexican American War was in February 1847 at the Battle of Cahuenga Pass near what is now Hollywood. On February 2, 1846, all of California, Nevada and Utah plus parts of Arizona, New Mexico, Wyoming and Colorado were aquired by the USA as a result ot the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo and a payment of 15 million dollars.

He's using one of his infamous push polls to make Americans think that Mexicans are a bigger threat than Arabs.

Mexico IS a far greater threat than the Arabs. Mexico literally has invaded many parts of the U.S. Mexico cannot continue to grow uncontrollably and exist as an obnoxious parasite on it's neighbors. Perioid. Something is going to give, and soon.

Oh, they are illegal aliens that are crawling all over Colorado, taking all the lower end jobs and driving down those wages too. As one of the people quoted in the article thinks that Colorado would cease to run if it wasn't for illegal aliens in Colorado.

It's an open borders, socialist way of saying that Colorado is crawling with illegal aliens, not undocumented residents.

“They are providing labor and energy to the economy of Colorado,” she said, adding that she finds Mexican workers in every resort-area hotel and restaurant she visits.

This Colorado traitor ought to be jailed...

I too will absolutely agree that Mexico and this open border insanity is a bigger threat than the Arabs.

Just in drunk driving fatalities and gang related homicides alone, far more have been killed in the past decade than at the world trade center and this continues every single day of the year. For example, just 3 weeks ago, another young Deputy Sheriff in California was shot through the face and killed by an illegal alien in California. This particular illegal alien had been deported 3 different times after committing three different crimes on the American people.

Look no further than our jails in the south west United States, and across the entire country, as they are filled with illegal aliens that have committed crimes against the American people and have left a huge wake of thousands of victims in the path of this massive invasion. I personally know of at least 6 victims of illegal aliens. These victims range from having loved ones slaughtered by drunk illegal aliens on our highways, to stabbing injuries, to robberies, to common home burglaries.

There are many forms of terrorism, and this invasion of millions is currently the largest threat to Americans in my opinion.

Frankly, they can have the border states if they want...but I would demand a few conditions:

Speak for yourself, Bubba! And what would your conditions be for giving away my home?

The Mexican American war is very interesting reading if you don’t know it.. look it up on the web but be warned you get a P.C. pro Mexico slant

The world powers of the day predicated Mexico would clean the Americans clock

The Mexican army was far larger and it officer were European trained

However after the war of 1812 the U.S. had established West Point and had been building a tight core of highly trained officers..

The Mexicans losted every battle

(Most of the U.S. officers in the Mexican war would become big names, north & south in the U.S. Civil war ..Robert E.Lee was a hero in blue in the Mexican war)

It from this war the U.S. Marines ..”From the halls of Montezuma “ comes from...

the U.S. captured Mexico City.....

to be blunt the U.S. probably could have annexed all of Mexico at the time if it wanted

Something is going to give, and soon.

And I look forward to that day, due to the fact that if this day never comes, it will mean and end to our borders, our sovereignty and our country. I couldn't be more serious.

Well, if all these illegal aliens are finding jobs then someone must be hiring them. It seems there are some capitalists out there enjoying this trend at least as much as the socialists.

Capitalist? Is that what you call them? Good ol all American capitalist that will knowingly hire people that are in our country illegally? I have other terms for these folks.

Oh and the family of the 27 year old Deputy Sheriff that was just shot through the face and killed in California by an illegal alien recently, probably isn't enjoying this trend as much as the capitalist in Colorado. I only wish you could ask them what they think of this trend.

Oh, and along with millions of others, this murdering SOB has been deported 3 times after committing 3 separate crimes here in our country. Each time he has returned to the safety of Mexico.

Again, look no further than our jails in the south west United States, and across the entire country, as they are filled with illegal aliens that have committed crimes against the American people and have left a huge wake of thousands of victims in the path of this massive invasion.

I hope the capitalist as you say, enjoy this trend.

There are only 100 million Mexicans. Their birth rate has plummetted in recent years. For example, if you look at a breakdown of Mexican population by 5 year age groups, one can see steadily decreasing increase rates of 9.5%, 6.4%, 4.4%, 1.8% and 0.2% between the 25-29, 20-24, 15-19, 10-14, 5-9 and 0-4 age groups. Then when you consider that the Mexican death rate has dropped steadily during these decades AND that the older groups are much more likely to have emigrated to the US, you can see that Mexico is already close to a negative growth rate. The Arab states are more populous and still have higher birth rates (though, those are dropping also everywhere but the West Bank/Gaza).

Unlike America, immigrants aren't flocking in to be Mexicanized. America is three times as large. Mexicans under the age of 10 in 2000 were 22.8 million. Americans under the age of 10 in 2000 were 39.7 million. Yes, some were immigrants. Still, many more Americans are being born each year than Mexicans. The current Mexican birth rate on a much smaller population is insufficient to make it come anywhere near the US in population.

There's also an Americanization of Mexico occurring. Interactions are never two way streets. American capitalism and ideas are flooding Mexico like never before. It's one reason loons like Hannity's guest are upset. They sense the tide of history going against them. So they scream louder with sillier and sillier ideas.

In this country, despite efforts of radicals, the bilingual education ghetto has been broken. The children of immigrants are now learning English better than they did before in California and other states. It's not perfect, but it's a start.

Mexicans aren't flying planes into our buildings. They aren't trying to buy or develop weapons of mass destruction.

Mexico is a democracy. Fox, for all his flaws, represents a change in the formerly one-party control of Mexico. It also respects property rights and capitalism. It doesn't have to shell it's own people with artillery or poison gas to control it's people.

Your statement that Mexico is a greater threat is not based on reality. The statements of Azteca pseudo-intellectuals or a disappointed Mexican fan after the World Cup loss aren't enough to

Your statement that Mexico is a greater threat is not based on reality.

I guess it all depends on what you consider to be a threat. Mexican illegal immigration has decimated social services in California, Arizona, and Texas. Perhaps other states. Mexico actively encourages their uneducated, unskilled hordes to illegally come up here so that they can steal jobs and send their ill-gotten earnings back to Mexico...thereby perpetuating the dilemma. Mexico's main export is this nightmare. If that ain't a form of terrorism I don't know what it is. Mexico needs to solve it's own problems. Hopes of that are slim, though. The nation has been a complete disaster ever since it's inception. In any event, they need to confine their problem to their own territory, IMO, and it is incumbent on our government to make sure they do just that.
