OK, so you see a computer disk on the ground. Do you pick it up?

OK, so let's say you pick up a computer disk you found on the ground. Do you put it into your PC?

OK, so let's say you find a disk and pick it up and put it in your PC (regardless of the potential viruses and physical dirt that could harm your PC). You just happen to work for the DNC and the disk just happens to be the GOP's fall election plans.

WOW!!!

I assume that the presentation was both on a laptop hard drive, and a cd-r. When dealing with high powered people like this, you want to have a backup copy just in case the laptop bites the dust for unexpected reasons (I've had it happen to me). You would make the backup copy on cd-r because it cannot be accidentally erased, are cheap, and they hold 700 MB of info. I also assume that since this hotel deals with people from the RNC, that it has the latest and greatest hardware available, but I doubt that anyone from a security standpoint alone, would be dumb enough to leave anything on an uncontrolled system.

No, they found it behind the copier at Los Alamos.

I think you mean smart media, such as a flashcard, the largest smartcard chips have nowhere near enough memory for a powerpoint presentation of any size.

You're right, of course. I hardly ever use ours since it is much slower than using a laptop. But it is handy for those "non-technical" CEOs who don't want to mess with cables, etc. Just plug in the projector and go.

so basically it was the same type of information seeking as the Watergate break-in and now includes lies and a coverup to hide the facts....I see the Dems are surely the party of morals

so basically it was the same type of information seeking as the Watergate break-in...

...and just after the media finished their self-congratulations on the 30th anniversary of Watergate, too.

Why aren't people taking this as seriously as they took the stealing of Bush's debate preparation material during the election campaign?

"The Democrats didn't get this because we were careless.

Sure they were. It was careless to leave the presentation in the projectors cache. Enterprising by the dems. I bet it never happens again. Leaving the presentation in the projector.

LOL

Yeah!

Like that old Marxist couple from FloriDUH who "just happened" to inadvertently record Gingrich and a few others via cell phone transmissions a few years ago.

Face it, folks: The Demoncrat Party is just another point in the multi-axis of evil!

The Democrat version of Watergate. Nixon is redeemed.

The Democrat version of Watergate.
I believe that title belongs to Filegate--900 counts of what put Nixon aide Chuck Colson in the slammer for a year. But it was just an honest mistake, don't you know. Nobody even hired Craig Livingstone, he just wandered in off the street and took over as chief of WH security . . .
