Please do not let yourself get sucked into a heavy discussion or argument from someone who wishes to come in to this thread and makes a post that will disrupt this thread. Another day has passed and Elizabeth is still not back home with her family.
Today would be a good day to say some more prayer's.

I don't know if you saw my message on the other thread or not. The SLC police think that Ricci is a big piece to the puzzle of the Elizabeth's abduction. Things are just not adding up from his statements, his alibi(s), and of course, the lie detector failure to pass.

No I didn't see it. I am just so mad. This guy had another chance to attempt murder - a career criminal. I was wondering if his record showed any complex crimes - and it did - he escaped from prison (no easy task).

Yep. He tried to kill a police officer during an armed robbery of a pharmacy, he shot the officer in the face with a saed off shotgun. He only served fifteen years for that offense. The innocent people (and children) are paying with their lives and innocence for society's stupid experiments.

This might depend on the level of the prison he escaped from. He might have just walked away from work release, he might have just walked away from a minimum security prison or he might have broken out of the big house. The latter as you suggest might be a complex planned act, any of the former might be a spur of the moment act.

That's one lucky officer! How bad did he hurt the officer? It's amazing they ever let him out.

This is just my opinion or thoughts. What I am saying here is not to hurt anyones feelings or to cause someone to post to me to help me see it in another light.

Right now I feel that Ricci is not the man who went into the house and took Elizabeth. There are many reasons I feel this way... I am starting to feel like the cops feel the same way, but with Ricci being in custody and being asked about the case that it somehow got leaked to the press, so the police are playing along with it. I really feel they are not any closer to the real perp, than they were about 1 week ago. I also still do not feel that the family is involved...my opinion is based on their body langauge, comments and trying with all my heart to put myself in their shoes. Today I heard Elizabeth's mother telling the camera and speaking to Elizabeth that the family has not and will not be taking any family photos until she back home with them. She said they are not a whole family without her.

Is Elizabeth still alive?... well there is a 50/50 chance that she still is. They have not found her body and I still feel the person who took her was fascinated her.

I feel the time has come for the family to change how the money would be awarded, right now it will be paid out to someone who leads them to her while she is still alive and safe. It is time to change the wording on reward and maybe up the reward while the case is still hot in the media. The NE should take the money from the sales of the NE this week and donate it to the family reward fund. They are helping in the Chandra Levy reward fund, and also did so in the Cosby Reward Fund. JMHO...

Apparently, he was part of a construction crew that did work on the Smart house in April,2001. Ed Smart thought he might be the one who had robbed the house, during this construction period and he was fired from the crew. Turns out Ed Smart was right, as Ricci has told police that he, did in fact, rob the Smarts last April-he may be trying to cover why his DNA and prints may be in the house and in places where they should not have been.There was some speculation on an earlier thread,that as part of the crew, he may have had access to house keys or known the security code.

I don't know the details of Ricci shooting the police officer, but the officer did survive the shooting.
