Two Chinese jet fighters came within 150 feet of a U.S. reconnaissance aircraft near China in the first close encounter since a collision last year between an EP-3 and a Chinese jet, The Washington Times has learned.
The encounter took place in international airspace near the Chinese coast north of Taiwan on Monday, said officials familiar with intelligence reports of the incident.

And I am sure if Chinese spyplanes were orbiting off the coast of California, we would keep our F-15's at a safe distance and not interupt their mission.
Get real guys, brinksmanship comes with the territory.

I don't think we mind monitoring ... we do it to the Russians ... the Russians do it to us ...
we DO have a problem with the Chinese "buzzing" our aircraft and creating dangerous situations that lead to or could possibly lead to the collision of the aircraft, with loss of aircraft and/or crew ...

I hope we realized last year they have no respect for us, so that we don't go down that path of groveling forgiveness and appeasement if the Chinese pull the "W
rong Wei" stunt again.

I remember seeing a satirical article on FR last year about a second Chinese jet crashing into a Goodyear blimp. I enjoyed reading it, with the assumption that the Chinese wouldn't try it again, but now I can't find it.
