So what do you think about the bullet casing? DVD trying to throw suspicion elsewhere, or SDPD failure to investigate, or something else entirely?

One of the investigator's reports says a search dog named Hopi became agitated in the garage and was alerted to something in the attic or ventilation system while searching Westerfield's second floor. Detectives then checked the attic

This is so bogus....never mentioned in Keene and Parga's testimony...they said DW offered to show them the attic and went to get the ladder..no mention of Hopi alerting to anything or even being there at the time they were walking thru..argg!

You must know he is guilty, so tell me how he got into the
Van Dam home, picked up Daniel, and carried her out,
and over to his house?

But the URL was from the temp file, doesn't that mean it was viewed by itself?

That would have been from the "history" file.

Most web browsers have a bookmark file (a phone-book).
A history file (a list of who you last called).
And a cache (a recording of what was said or viewed).

The bookmark is obvious, to record your favorite sites.
The history and cache are inter-twined. you hit a link and don't like what you see; hit the "back" button --the history file has the record of the URL you last visited.
The cache has the content you have visited. no need to fetch the content from the net again, you've done it once and it's already on disk.

I didn't realize temp files are deleted when the program is finished with them.

From a programming standpoint a temp file is an individual file stored off in a special directory ('/tmp' or '/windows/temp' are good places). As a program ends, it should remove any temporary files that it created. But that is what should happen. Good programming practice has become rather "iffy", especially under MS-Windows.

My temp file is always huge

I suspect you are talking about your "swap" file.

This is a snapshot of various chunks of memory that are not needed at the moment. As you start more programs, the chunks of programs that are idle are written out to disk to make it appear there is more available memory than is physically installed in your machine.
When you start MS-Windows it looks to see if the swap file already exists, if not it will create it.

more fun stuff..this thread is talking about the computer being accessed..and guess what..someone thinks maybe dw set the puter to do this download or whatever happened ahead of time.

check it out
12. "Wait a Minute"

The other night someone called into the Rick Roberts radio show and said there is a website , and gave the URL, where you can go to and set a time and date for your computor to access a certain website and download the contents you want while you're away. I can't remember the URL, but I tried it that night and set my comp to download a trivia site at 3:00 a.m. and it did so. Could Westy have set this up because he knew he'd be at a police interview that day and approx. time? That would explain why he stayed soooo long voluntarily

Can't tell you how he did it....was hoping one of the people who thinks he is guilty would tell me how it was done but no one has yet.

Have tried different scenerios using all the different testimonies given..can't make it work....can't see a motive.

Mr. Dusek has promised to tell us in his closing so I'll have to wait until he does.

You must do this for a living! Thanks for info.. I've deleted cache, history and tmp files... and have used the history file trying to locate a website I had visited days ago, but forgot to bookmark. It's awesome for that reason.

he probably did it barefoot with disposable gloves. Heck, maybe he had disposable footies on, either while he was barefoot or over his shoes..that's more than the investigators wore eh?

I think if she were punched in the face, hard enough to knock out her front teeth, or severly loosen them--that type of blow could have knocked her unconscious. Could also explain some of her blood on PJ sleave.

Then he probably put her in a shopping cart and wheeled her down the street pretending to be a homeless man, in case Mrs. Cravitz was watching.:-)

What time did he do this?

So far. You mean you didn't take a peek at my profile ?

And I'm a bit thin on the latest and greatest MS-Windows.
I'm total Unix and network, I hire junior admins to handle the desktop Windows boxen.
