It's under the Bush admin where the fast and loose activities of the 90s are getting cleaned up.

And like the poor stooge in a B-movie who discovers a murder and picks up the gun just as the cops walk in, guess who's going to be charged with the crime?

Gore's giving the media their cue. It's perceptions, not facts, that win elections. American voters beat Alzheimer's patients when it comes to short attention spans and memory loss (assuming they ever were given any facts to begin with -- we have to dig them out from media spin around here).

No, people, unless the Bush people kill this rumor quickly before it metastasizes through the media Gore-clones, it will become perceived "truth" to the voters on election day.

Miachael Moore was on a recently taped "Politically Incorrect" last night. He apparently wasn't stupid enough to try and blame GW for Big Business's lousy accounting as AlG has done. He blamed the whole situation on GW and his dad. I cannot stand Michael Moore!! What an airhead!! (Doesn't he have to pay for two airline seats? No wonder he hates business.)

Hey Al, don't look now, but all of this garbage was happening on your watch.

EXACTLY! With every word, Gore looks more and more foolish. Let's hope he keeps talking.

I agree that most of this happened on Slicks watch, however the Dems with their lackys in the press can make this and issue. The RNC and republicans need to get out in front of this real fast or the lies will STICK

Really, I just found this in the WSJ. They list the names of senators who received donations from WorldCom.

Ernest Hollings,D.,S.C. $24,666

Patrick Leahy,D., Vt. $24,250

and for good measure

John McCain, R., Ariz. $23,650

Why not? It's always worked with the sheeple before. You think this is big just wait until the dollar loses half of it's value in the next year. The United States is no longer a strong nation. We are the once wealthy estate that is now being liquidated to pay for past excesses and to continue paying for more. These bastards in Congress(with our blessing) have got us well on our way to third world status.
When the housing bubble collapses the fun and games are really going to start. And then there are always the Social Security and immigration fiascos.

Hey Al, don't look, but people tied to Enron contributed to your pal Lieberman. Besides, they learned to try to get away with corruption from you and Bill.

What a GIANT walking, talking specimen of spent labor Al Gore is. He has NO chance of ever making a comeback in politics, and the only reason he has any profile at all is because b-cup Bill chose him as his running mate. If it weren't for that, Mr. Pantload would still be making speeches in the house, by himself, to himself, in the middle of the night. What an ABSOLUTE LOSER!

People will believe the lies and demagoguery peddled by Gore and the RATS if they are not aggressively refuted by the Bush people... people are that stupid, I am afraid... and they do not understand that numerous business leaders saw Clinton repeatedly break the law, and skate... these business leaders thought that they too could get away with it... why not, if the chief law enforcement officer of the nation is a serial felon...

Cover your ass, Al!

Where were you guys when America was falling deeper into debt and bankruptcies?

Where were you when you were bought out by the airlines to look the other way over security matters?

And people are blaming Bush?

America is FiTB (no relation to FiJC on FR)

Exactly. These corrupt businessmen learned specifically from Clinton-Gore that you could break the law, and skate. What they failed to understand was that Clinton had a 24/7 defense team known as the United States Department of Justice ready to do his handywork on a real-time basis.

Someone's going to have to point out to him that all the truly rich Senators are Dimocrats.
Or maybe that's what he resents: the fact that he's not one of them!

What nerve this slug has!!!! This has got to be a joke not even algore can be this stupid, can he? He really believes we (the American people) going to swallow this horse hockey?!

Yes...he does believe it. There will be plenty of idiotic saps that will eat it all up and follow in line like nice little sheeple...begining in Hollywood, Berkley, and Ithaca.

This is the begining of a propaganda war focusing on getting votes for the Dems from dumb "Americans" who don't know how to put 2+2 together and think for themselves. Many people WILL NOT realize that all the dishonesty, fraud and corruption in business, being exposed now, is a result of 8 years of The Stain MakerTM and his cronies.

Don't you see how you've been victimized from Bush's economic policy? Make sure I get an invite to the pity party. /sarcasm off

Anyone who continues to believe that Algore is "brilliant" needs some professional help. What a moronic person!

UGH! That is the one that kills me! We got together with some old friends last weekend and unfortunately, the subject came up of who did we vote for. Well, my wifes best friend started in on how Gore should really be president and they voted for him because he is so smart, much smarter than Bush. Oh man, did I ever want to straighten her out, but these are good friends that we dont see often, so I bit my tongue. These are well educated people too. I just dont see how, with any logic, you can be so blind to all of this tripe!

I agree with all you say except this part. I don't think there's any kind of bubble in our area. We can get a 2000 square foot home around here for about 150,000 or less.

The coasts have a higher cost of living (including housing) but they also have a higher average wage to compensate.
