A wolf pack? You know, Don, stranger things have happened and it wouldn't surprise me in the least. I mean, we've all heard the stories. Alligators in the sewers. Anacondas and coyotes escapin' from the zoos. And in New York City??? Forget about it! That town's seen everything! A wolf pack rampaging through the streets of Brooklyn wouldn't surprise anybody. They'd just go on about their business like New Yorkers always do.

Nah, 'course it wouldn't. They'd figure it was just part of a scam somebody's was tryin' to run on them. Just another way to slow 'em down, suck 'em in and feed 'em the bait. I lived in Baldwin and Freeport, so the present demographics are not that familiar to me.

Well, except for the fact that all the perpetrators were black and from an essentially all-black neighborhood and they drove to an essantially all-white neighborhood and all of the victims at the party and restaurant were white (mostly ethnic Italian) who the perps racially and ethnically insulted as they shot, raped, and beat them - no, aside from that, race wasn't a factor.

I hadn't previously known anything about this particular crime, but as I read the details of it, and before I learned of the race of the perpetrators, I couldn't help but to think to myself that there's no way that this crime was committed by white criminals. I wasn't the least bit surprised to learn that my suspicions were correct.

I'm still here on Long Island. My husband is a policeman, and when we were newlyweds, we lived literally around the corner from the Sea Crest Diner. We ate there often and had the opportunity to speak with the owner many times. He was a nice man, and still felt great sadness for what happened in his restaurant all those years ago.

We moved from that neighborhood six years ago, so I don't know if he still owns the diner, but I know he always liked seeing my husband and me come in, 'cause he knew at least SOMEONE would be armed.

One day, when hubby can retire (only 7 years to go!), we will get the hell out of here. Long Island has gone Dem, and you can't tell the RINOs from the Dems anymore anyway. Too bad, because Long Island used to be a nice place to live.
