I just heard on the radio where they said it is only 10% contained now, not the 35% they had thought.
The smoke was REALLY bad in Rapid this morning early, but, by mid-morning a strong wind had blown it out but it's coming back somewhat now.
God I hate to see the Hills burn, but thank God they have been able to save Deadwood and Lead so far.
Prayers for RAIN, the firefighters and people of Deadwood and Lead....
One day, his woman ran off with another guy. Hit young Rocky in the eye...
Rocky didn't like that said: "I'm gonna get that boy...."
Bunny Bump for information here about the fire.
How Ironic.
Trivial question: Is that pronounced like A. or B. below? Does it sound like the e in Deadwood or Deed?

>BTW, the town of Lead is pronounced "LEED", as in a lead (ore vein) of gold.
The nation is under the Judgment of God. The fire in this area reflects a national *bear market and the gold and silver is cankered. Jas 5:1 Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you. 2 Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten. 3 Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.
>All of the fire departments and agencies came together quickly Saturday and kept the fire out of Deadwood, he said. "This fire should have taken out a lot of Deadwood, but it didn't," he said.
It is not over. There is some "deadwood" here: Joh 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. 6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
DeadwoodDeadwood, city (1990 pop. 1,830), seat of Lawrence co., W S.Dak., in the BLACK HILLS; settled 1876. It was a gold and silver boom town; today tourism and gambling (legalized in 1989), lumbering, and mining provide employment. So named because its trees had been killed by fire, Deadwood is noted for its colorful early history and for the graves of Wild Bill HICKOK, CALAMITY JANE, and Deadwood Dick.
