They say the gunman was shot and killed...no other status of the other victims so far. LAX security is horrible...and this proves it.

ABC channel 7 in LA is saying someone opened fire at El Al airline ticket counter, killed at least one, then shot others. Suspect was killed by security? Now they're saying 2 dead (1 is suspect), 2 being treated.

Shooters in cops' uniforms?
Reports of ME guys trying to procur them all week.

To: cgk
Don't know the nationality/race of the shooter, don't know if this is related to middle east tensions. Terminal is evacuated... pictures of many 100's of people leaving the terminal and standing on the overpass at the airport.
To: sonserae
Word of someone stabbed also. (According to local channel 2 CBS)
To: sonserae
At the Israel airline terminal. Hmmmm.
To: EricOKC
You can easily bring a gun into the terminal. You just can't get it past security (supposedly).

2 dead, one is the gunman. See pictures of a little girl being held by policewoman. She may have been separated from her parents in the panic.

Mass evacuation of the terminal. I predict that it's 2 martyr-wannabes. Shooting and stabbing involved.

To: EricOKC

Who did that dimbulb marry?
To: EricOKC
I don't know if it's illegal or not. But it's still easy to do. Just bring it in. There's no way for anyone to know if it is properly concealed.
To: sonserae
Lets guess what the odds are that the shooter is a Arab member of the Religion of Peace between the ages of 18 and 40.
To: Husker24
You're right. See #30.

There is no security check until you go through the gates. The ticket counters are vulnerable because you can just walk into the door off the street...no security check.

KRLA Los Angeles reports 2 dead, 2 wounded, possibly more.
"possibly officer involved." Terminal 1 evacuated, Police and Fire on the scene.

To: sonserae
They say the gunman was shot and killed...no other status of the other victims so far. LAX security is horrible...and this proves it. Not much can be done about someone bringing a gun into the ticketing area...
To: tlrugit
This makes me wonder if the El Al security is as rigid in other countries as it is in Israel. Hmmmm.....
To: Husker24
"MSNBC went back to Julia Roberts wedding, WHO THE FU*K CARES!!!" MSNBC is obviously consistent with their ratings...which is dead last.

Actually - it is illegal for a private citizen to carry a loaded firearm into the terminal That can't be! If it were illegal to carry a loaded firearm into the terminal then this guy couldn't have done it. Isn't that the theory behind all gun laws? If you make it illegal to own a gun, bad guys won't be able to use them to commit crimes.
To: relee
Let's hope not. Be vigilant!

It is sounding like the gunman was targeting someone. Or he's just a nut. Any reports of the Gunmans RACE?
To: mikegi
Yep. PMSNBC just said that it was El Al security that shot the gunman. Hey, how come El AL security gets to have guns while our National Guardsmen in the airports don't?
