The current and future governor of FL, Gov. Jeb Bush
Fourth of July Holiday Message from FL Gov. Jeb Bush
This fourth of July is particularly poignant, as we remember the sacrifices our Founding Fathers made and the risks they took to declare the independence of our nation. The attacks of the terrorists on September 11 have made us even more grateful for the freedoms and liberties that we possess as Americans.
In light of those attacks, it is important for us to exercise caution and practice safety as many of us travel to be with family and friends to celebrate the occasion. On behalf of my wife Columba and Lieutenant Governor Brogan, I would like to wish you all a happy and safe fourth of July.

Jeb's Message from his official campaign web site
Happy Fourth of July!
Happy Birthday, America! All over Florida and across America family and friends are gathering together to celebrate America's 226th birthday and the anniversary of our nation's independence.
This 4th of July, we have much to celebrate. We have pulled together as a nation and stand united to conquer those that wish us harm. There is no challenge that America cannot meet, because ours is a land of heroes and freedom, a country with energy, vitality, and courage.
We are blessed to live in a nation where we are able to pursue our greatest dreams, and work for a better tomorrow with unlimited possibilities for our children. The fundamental principles of our nation - liberty for all, that all men are created equal, and that the power of this great country is held by each of us - are indeed what makes us great.
Since last September, America has experienced a remarkable renewal of patriotism. And on this Fourth of July, we will continue our celebration of American democracy, ideals, and values by saying the Pledge of Allegiance, flying our flags, singing the Star-Spangled Banner, going to a baseball games or a cook-outs with family and friends, and watching fireworks displays.
Best wishes for a safe and wonderful 4th of July! God bless America.
