notice how they only release this after the 4th is over..we wouldn't want to scare people now would we..it only took them 9 hours to tell us he was an Arab...I'm sorry but those "news" conferences they had were a joke. The sad thing is besides news junkies like us the average american believed them when they said they didn't know...sad sad sad
To: newsperson999
They knew who he was from AT LEAST the time when Peres was saying it was terrorism. He (Peres) wouldn't risk saying something like that unless he knew for sure...
To: College Repub
Of course they knew, had to wait for the festivites of the 4th to be over before they told us. Scumbags.

The Israeli Shin Bet is calling it an act of terrorism:
(Shin Bet believes shooting is terrorist!)There had been no intelligence warning of an attack by any organization on an Israeli target in the U.S., but the way in which the attack took place, its location and timing, seemed to point to terrorism. Unless proved otherwise, that is how the Shin Bet decided to regard it.
To: bok
Was that the jerk who kept calling it a random act of violence, or a possible suicide?

He knew from what ELAL told him or maybe what FBI told him. Israel could care less about political correctedness or attempting to maintain it on July 4th. So he came out and said what most of us already knew was probably the case anyway.

Guess what, there are a million more of "hims" here in the USA. You exaggerate. Only about 5-10% of muslims are actively involved in Jihad organizations. There are no more than 50-100,000 of these fellows running around -- 200,000, tops.
To: newsperson999
Yes, the news conferences were a joke. The only excuse I can come up with is that maybe the FBI didn't want his friends alerted early that they were looking for him.
To: per loin
Appologize for what? I didn't see him today.

You are tiring, we are in a war with muslim terrorists, what is it that you don't understand. I figure you must be of arab descent b/c you are always spewing things against Israel and seem to be pro-arab in your comments. I'm done with you now and will not respond further.

Believe it or not, when I lived in Orange County (1960's) Irvine was a ranch. LOL
I had a girlfriend in college whose parents ran the general store in Irvine, just off the 101 (before I-5 designation) at Myford Rd., right opposite El Toro MCAS.
That and a gas station across the street was about the extent of the town. Believe the current City of Irvine sprang full-grown from the mind of activists at UCI who needed political legitimacy for their proposals to build a "planned community."
Well, now they have it -- and they can have it, too. I have no desire to move back to OC, least of all Irvine.

I suspect the reason it took so long for the feds to release this info. is that they know Americans will not stand for terrorist blowing innocents away. We will not stand by and endure what Israel has been dealing with because our government would rather not offend the terrorist among us. We will demand that our government take swift action and spare us the pc crap or Americans will defend their country themselves.

Well, at least FOX News had the interview with the French witness who said that the gunman looked either Arab or Afghani. What did Cavuto say?

Here's a happy thought from Middle East expert Daniel Pipes:
Islamists constitute a small but significant minority of Muslims, perhaps 10 to 15 per cent of the population. Many of them are peaceable in apearance, but they all must be considered potential killers.
How does 400,000 to 800,000 -- in our country -- potential killers sound?
