A Bush Hater's Poll
Jim Robinson

Posted on 07/10/2002 11:27:06 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

This is an unofficial quick and dirty presidential poll. Apparently, there is a good sized contingent on Free Republic that believes that President Bush is:

  1. Not conservative enough
  2. Not pro-life
  3. Is a gun-grabber
  4. Is a federal power-grabber
  5. Will appoint liberal judges
  6. Is a globalist
  7. Is in it just for oil
  8. Is too soft on immigration
  9. Is too soft (or too hard) on Israel
  10. Is a crook
  11. All of the above
  12. None of the above
  13. Other (you name it)

Please list the numbers that best match the reasons you don't like Bush (or state other reasons if not on the list) and state whether you believe that President Bush should be defeated even if it means installing a Democrat in the Whitehouse.

Conversely, if you believe President Bush should be re-elected, please state why.

Please state who you would like to see win the Presidency in 2004 and whether or not you believe he/she has a chance of winning.

Thanks,
Jim

You observe no domestic attacks since 9-11 and you see failure, or worse, a constructed and phony threat? You realize that there is really no war?

I've always knew in my gut that the entire home office staff at Cantor Fitzgerald is really on an extended "holiday".

jeremiah .... violent and anonymous war is being fought every day around the world. People are dying in back allies and craphole basements. Bad guys. You're not on the memo list.

"Its the economy stupid."

There is your first clue as to why the economy is dumping. If you will recall who made that quote famous, you will understand what is going on here and why.

Well Jim, I will vote for Bush. Not only will I vote for him, but I will hit the streets and campaign for him. I do not agree with every single decision he has made, but then, I didn't expect to. It is not realistic IMO to think one could please everyone.

I like the idea that this President realizes he is the President of the entire country, and not just a certain party unlike the jerk before him. He has to make some decisions based on that fact, and it would behove people to understand that.

The very thought of Al Gore, or Hillary Clinton becoming President because some Pubbies didn't get their own personal way on some issue terrifies me to be honest.

I am totally shocked by the fact that so many on this forum are so quick to desert him, but then, this is my first experience as a Republican, but I guarantee you it will not be my last!
W for 2004!

The economy is solid. The Dow and Nasdaq composites are down. That's not the economy.

Deb, many "true conservatives" here yearn to be Democrats ... if only the Dems didn't depise Christian heterosexual white males from the South.

Woooo, boy!

Arne, you just turned up the heat with that one!

;-)

I agree. During the Clintons economic boom *cough*, 26 tech stocks alone drove up the market. That is ALL that was profitable during that time. It is going to correct. This market would have climbed even under Carter!

Rowdees not neighborly - Good thing you didn't ask him to be lead lotion man at the Miss Hawaiian Tropic bikini contest as you initially planned.

O'Neil - I'm holding him responsible for the weak dollar.

Mineta(sp?) - An incompetent Clinton leftover, the most PC member of Bush administration. If we can't get rid of all the Clinton appointees overnight, at least start with this weasel.

Yeah ... some guy is sitting at his computer pounding 5 cans of Coke in an hour and he's investing in Fiber Optic FRAD manufacturers, WAN storage warehouse data base software and investment/managemet companies with unintelligable stakes in 57 dotcom enterprises. Grab another can of Coke! He never thought of putting his money into Coca Cola. I have! I KNOW what Coca Cola does.

That's the "correction" that is underway.

Mineta was a Commerce Secretary for the last 5 months of the Clinton reign of DNA splattering. He KNOWS his stuff about Transportation!!!!

Air travel is outstanding in its service and very well managed and regulated.
