I've asked it before, and I'll ask it again: Would you take dietary advice from me?
Of course not and nor would I offer it.
Yet some in Washington have no problem throwing stones from a very big glass house.

IS THIS GREAT OR WHAT? I saw his show yesterday when he had Gephardt on about this issue. Cavuto was priceless - wouldn't allow Dickie to spin - kept interrupting him with POINTED questions along the lines of this commentary - IT WAS WONDERFUL. Dickie got very flustered. Then to follow up with this commentary -- I LOVE CAVUTO.

You know, on financial matters, this guy is on target. His comments fall one notch short of Lou Dobbs' comments on about who we should be fighting (his comments about fighting Islamists).

Thanks for posting this! I didn't see the show, but really wish that I had. After reading this, I just sent Mr. Cavuto an email thanking him for this editorial. Great stuff!

coiffures? Forgive me, but I think this word should be "coffers", unless of course they are sticking the money under their hairpieces.

And you have no problem sticking it to taxpayers for largesse that benefits your own coiffures. Now you're going to judge the largesse of CEOs you claim are benefiting their coiffures? What the hell have hairdressers got to do with it?
I think the transcriber meant "coffers"

Likewise. Think we should all e-mail our thanks to Neal for giving "fair and balanced" news reporting.

coiffure vs. coffer
Well, in John Kerry's case who married the Heinz widow, it could be both. Doncha love this hair?
In any case, WAY TO GO, NEIL!!!!

After seeing Terry Bradshaw on Jay Leno's ten year special last night, this has special meaning regarding sticking money under ones' hair!

On the surface this appears to be a good argument; however, it really is weak on substance. I'm sure everyone remembers the saying "Two wrongs don't make a right".
Just because our congress-critters can't budget properly doesn't mean that corporate America gets to do the same. I think the better argument is, yes corporate America needs to tighten their accounting practices AND so does the US & State govt's.
Personally, I think you can find a lot more accounting problems in gov't...things such as budgeting X amount of money to fight forest fires, when you know it's going to be 3X (as in Cali). Then who on earth will not increase emergency funding to fight a raging forest fire. Or as in Tenn. threaten to cut teacher's pay if they can't raise taxes, but they won't even discuss cutting all the new spending programs that the state did just fine without since it's founding.

I saw it this morning, I loved it. Let's call the Kettle black as the pot.

And this is why the stock market is descending, not because of Bush's speech or anything Bush has done or not done. Just the thought of politicians regulating and overseeing one-more-time spooks the investors.
Those constantly lecturing, microphone grabbing "lawmakers" make me sick and of course the press picks it up and runs with it.

Neil does it again. Frankly, he is FAR better than O'Reilly.

"I think the transcriber meant "coffers""
I was thinking it was maybe a play on words. Regular people get "haircuts", rich, important people pay much more $$ for a "Coiffure" - same thing, but sounds ritzier.
Or maybe the transcriber needs a grammar lesson?
Never-the-less - GREAT COLUMN!

Brings to mind the number of failed business's and bankruptcies that members of congress have been personally involved with ... don't remember the exact numbers but it was staggering. Now these dim bulbs want to interfere with U.S corporate America and tell them how to run their companies? Give me a break ...
