The recent U. S. “compromise” on the International Criminal Court is a reminder of how much power the one-world government fanatics among us have. Walter Cronkite, in a speech before the World Federalist Association, said, “we must strengthen the United Nations as a first step toward a world government patterned after our own government with a legislature, executive, and judiciary, and police to enforce its international laws and keep the peace.” Walter is one of many influential celebrities who advocate a powerful world government. And what will happen to America? “We Americans have to yield up some of our sovereignty,” he admits.
“Some” sovereignty? What in blazes does that mean? And what kind of “executive” does Walter envision? An international version of Stalin or Saddam Hussein comes to mind.
In my novel, a secret worldwide cartel schemes to control the world through the UN. A leader observes:
“when power is concentrated in one government, all we have to do is take over one government. Right now, it´d be chaos to take over the two hundred or so governments in the world. Independence and freedom in countries keep us from succeeding now.”
The one-world-government gang is inching our nation toward becoming an American province of a world government. They follow techniques refined over decades of scheming and manipulation.
Promote UN organizations. Walter publicly admitted more than most deceptive one-worlders do when he publicly advocated a world government under the UN. They and their running dogs in the media must persuade Americans that the UN is a benevolent body capable of governing the world. One failed effort to demonstrate that it can solve the world´s problems was the World Conference Against Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance, which degenerated into chaos.
Promote globalism. One-world advocates such as Martin Sheen, Walter Cronkite, and Ed Asner publicly promote a one-world-fits-all globalist agenda. Others—the Clintons among them—are more subtle, dropping such terms as “global neighborhood” and “global economy” into their sound bites, hoping Americans will soon buy into the propaganda that we‘re just “citizens of the world.”
Suppress patriotism. They can´t impose their one-world government if Americans refuse to surrender their country to a faraway world dictator in Paris or Beijing. One-worlders must erase any feelings we have for our great nation, our flag, and our heritage. They dumb down our students, promote anti-Americanism, impose multiculturalism, and teach revisionist American history. New Jersey´s educators were recently caught red-handed when they eliminated our Founding Fathers from their state´s history lessons.
Destroy our religious and moral values. The values on which our country was founded bind us together as a nation and make us strong and able to resist attacks from outside and inside. Their battle against G-d in the Pledge of Allegiance is the latest in their campaign toward a valueless society. The steady decline in moral standards in our entertainment industry, the absence of G-d in schools, and the promotion by our media and the Hollywood crowd of a moral relativism, in which anything that feels good is acceptable social behavior, contribute to our decline. Without strong values to guide them, people will soon accept anything, no matter how debased or unproven—even a world government.
Keep Americans divided as a people. A divided people are an easily conquered people. My recent Toogood Reports article (Democrats and Machiavelli: Divide and Rule) covers some techniques that one-worlders have also adopted to keep us divided along racial, ethnic, cultural, age, gender, and any other lines they can impose. They promote legal and illegal immigration, then keep immigrants walled off psychologically from the rest of us through their multilingual programs.
Weaken the military and American resolve. They want America to become militarily weak and the American people to become irresolute so we won´t resist the world “police” that Walter advocates. On their website, Ed Asner, Gloria Steinem, Ossie Davis, and an assorted collection of professors, artsy types, and other members of the hate-America crowd call on Americans to resist our nation´s war efforts, a limp rebirth of their 60´s antiwar protests. Just after September 11th, Susan Sontag wrote in the New Yorker, “Where is the acknowledgment that this was not a ‘cowardly´ attack on ‘civilization´ or ‘liberty´ or ‘humanity´ or ‘the free world´ but an attack on the world's self-proclaimed superpower, undertaken as a consequence of specific American alliances and actions?” Yep, blame America for fighting back after an attack that killed 3,000 innocents, some of them from that “global neighborhood.”
Promote “European” values. Leftists are enamored with Europe because it is leftist to its core. Europeans have willingly surrendered their sovereignty to the European Union and, recently, the International Criminal Court, so a world government would make little difference to them. If one-worlders could ever persuade Americans that the socialist policies, high taxes and prices, and collectivist attitudes of Europe are the best thing for us, we´d be one small step away from a world government.
Disarm American citizens. Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union disarmed their citizens to quash any resistance to their subjugation and tyranny. The one-worlders are gun-control advocates for the same reason.
The one-worlders want to rob America of its sovereignty and its soul. They´ve struggled for decades, with major successes along the way, but they´ve encountered one solid wall that blocks their way, a wall they tirelessly work to soften and push aside. That wall of resistance is made up of a few American patriots with the determination and courage to fight back and spread the truth among their fellow Americans.
Globalization I was interupted in 1914 by WWI and then WWII... and the effort did not resume until the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989. The old forces against Globalization (aka the old Germany, USSR, etc) had to be crushed over decades. The current push for globalization is largely the resut of the telecommunications and stock-market tools, which begain to emerge in the 1980s. Now the EU exists, and NAFTA will be expanded to Chile, and the Chinese are on board with the WTO... the big piece in need of control and stability is the oil-rich Islamic bases of N. Africa, the Middle East and the "stans" out there around the Caspian.
Patents on seeds and drugs will keep Africa and other poverty-bases under control. Global "mega-corporations" will be in charge, with market forces dictating the future much more than any political views, be it "left" or "right"... the crucial decisions will be at the hands of the markets, the central banking controls and the corporate captains.
PS Business, not governments, will rule under globalization. This is why there has been a slow, creeping marriage of views in the far-left (Chomsky) and the far-right (Buchanan) around the world. Both have realized that globalization cuts out the fat, cuts to the bone of the matter, and places lawyers, central banks and businesses in the role of world leaders.
The War on Terrorism also serves as a war on those against globalization efforts. Dissent will be crushed over time. Lawyers, guns and money always win.

That is correct!!!! And, under the current "shareholder capitalism" system, it is the global financial services businesses, and other large financial manipulators that rule, NOT businesses that provide products and services.
Of course, the shareholder capitalist system (which is only around 15 years old) is having problems lately--they are grouped under the rubric of "Enronitis",and are responsible for the precipitous fall of the stock market. The Powers That Be are frantically scrambling for quick fixes that will keep the current system (with its evil New World Order implcations) in power. However, others (including some leading business people, consultants, etc.) see the real problem, and are seeking a return to a version of the stakeholder capitalist system that we more or less had in the early-to-mid 1980s. Socialists and anticapitialist liberals do not have enough knowledge to figure out how to fix the system, and are basically a bunch of hot air.
A "world government" cannot be democratic, mainly for logistical and cultural reasons ("all politics is local", etc.). The version of world "government" that we are getting is an only-economics-counts plutocracy, which is no government at all.
But the other version of "world government" waiting in the wings if things should collapse (or can be engineered to collapse) is some version of an islamic caliphate or collection of large islamic emirates. This is the form of world government desired by the ones we call "the terrorists". If these people should win out, that would mean wide-scale genocide and the coming of a Dark Age!!!! I say NO THANK YOU to BOTH versions of a New World Order!!!!
