I still have not figured out why they have downgraded the military alert, we are on Alpha here, even though we had threats here in San Antonio just last week. They have, however, been doing random searches and 100% ID checks. This guy must not have had access to a computer, you can get maps of nearly every base in the U.S. on the internet. I keep copies of local base maps on file for visitors and new employees.

When I saw this story last night I was curious as to how far Elkton, Maryland is from Pasadena, Maryland where the sewer explosion occurred near the power plant. There is also a Coast Guard facility near that plant in Pasadena.

Isn't this racial profiling? I mean, just because he has an Arabic name doesn't mean he's up to no good, right?

"Some neighbors had seen a lot of people come and go from his residence, and they felt he might be switching tags on his vehicle," he said................Isn't this racial profiling? {/sarcasm} To my knowledge, NOT if its a call BY citizens TO the authorities.

If we just keep harrassing these SOB's, maybe they'll all just leave.

....suspicious letters that appeared to be written in a Middle Eastern dialect.... Never identified, and since nothing about their content is hinted at, presumably nobody translated them ... nor even identified their language. Arabic? Persian? Armenian? Hebrew??

Those two would appear to be about 50 miles apart. No place in Maryland, is too AWfully far from anywhere else in Md.

Elkton is in the far Northeast corner of Maryland, near the border with Delaware and Pennsylvania. Pasadena is much further south, between Annapolis and Baltimore. Not exactly around the corner, but Maryland isn't that big a state. You could drive from Elkton to Pasadena without going over the speed limit in an hour or so.
For what it is worth, all of the local news in the Baltimore, Washington, Annapolis area has played the manhole explosion as an accident, probably caused by a buildup of gas fumes.

For what it is worth, all of the local news in the Baltimore, Washington, Annapolis area has played the manhole explosion as an accident Thanks. I read the latest update this morning and for whatever its worth, there were several manholes that blew and the regional manager for the county public works department who has worked there since 1977 said he's never seen anything like this occur.

I wish that were true. But it took the Spanish Inquisition and burning thousands of the blankety blankers at the stake to get them out of Spain. I doubt anything less will work here.
To: DoctorMichael
After being served a fugitive warrant, Mr. Khabir was taken to the detention center, where he is being held on $30,000 bond pending extradition proceedings. And if he makes bond and they let him go, what do you suppose are the chances they'll ever see him again.
DENY HIM BOND OR MAKE IT 1 MILLION!
Perhaps the authorities do not realize how easy it is to 'disappear' in this country.

Saudi man leaves US after posting bond........

Advocating an instant replay of the Spanish Inquisition is about what can be expected in this time of hysteria. Actually, it's the normal state of affairs for many here.

If we just keep harrassing these SOB's, maybe they'll all just leave. Deportation should consist of towing them 200 miles out to sea in a 6 ft rowboat and leaving them there with a bag lunch.
