Indeed, what of that? That's what human rights and civil rights are all about. Not the right to speed on the highway and ignore traffic control signals. Nor to disturb the peace and trespass on your neighbors' property.

Well, you said we had only enumerated rights. The 9th says otherwise. It says we have unenumerated rights.

Not the right to speed on the highway and ignore traffic control signals. Nor to disturb the peace and trespass on your neighbors' property.

Those are a far cry from being (as I quote dead) "ordered by the armed agents of the state to interrupt my perfectly legal use of public roads, and detained by those agents for an indeterminate amount of time, against my will and accused of no wrong-doing"

I submit that I have the right to legal use of public roads, uninterupted by armed agents of the state, unless there is probable cause that I have acted unlawfully.

I claim that this unenumerated right can be found in the 9th Amendment, and that no free society would deny its citizens such right.

Well then they will just have to build it without taxpayer money. Let it come out of their retirement fund(s).
Catch-22? You bet. They are required to build it!!! Small businesses are given mandates all the time, and no one gives a tinkers damn if we can afford it or not (passing the cost onto the consumer is not always possible).

Treat the damn government like the big business that they are, the same way they treat us!!!

"The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people."

So far the only unenumerated rights being developed are human rights and civil rights. The right to drive or walk on a road is hardly a god-given right.

Welcome to the #*#^&@-club. We just got hit with an audit last week. Look up this, look up that, find original invoices and cash regiester tape from 3 years ago. Prove you paid sales tax on that piece of software. Other than that it gives you a very good idea of how to really sneak things through, it's a total waste of time and resources.

Look at the picture in the article. He's wearing the uniform. He's carrying the gun. We can't see it, but I'll bet he's got the badge on.

He's either an agent of the state, or he's impersonating an officer. I really don't care who's signing his paycheck when he pulls people over for no reason. It's irrelevent.

So you claim an unspecified right. You will have to specify it at some point. What would that right be? A right to free housing at taxpayers' expense? A right to three squares a day for you and all your babies even though you have no job and your boyfriend of the day isn't around?

Perhaps you may be wrong.

In New Jersey a sworn police officer is deemed a "Police officer" 24 hours a day and technically never off duty, with some exceptions.

I admit I do not know Florida law on this , however.

I believe in NJ, an exception is when the officer has been drinking.

Good exception, though rarely observed by the drunk cop. (I know, I've hang around with a few.)

Good grief. Can you read and actually comprehend in the same day? I said the search at Fort Bliss is a welcomed one. Like.... .Fort Bliss is a military installation? Can you try real hard to grasp the meaning of why we would be glad there was a full search there? The other thing I referenced was a useless survey and not worthy of people being pulled over. My dad was among the first dropped over Normandy with the 82nd. My husband had to be one so he was a "BIG RED ONE" in Vietnam...twice. You don't know me and I don't know you so lay off my name of choice too, which you haven't got a clue about. Even if you did you probably wouldn't get it.

No right to move about freely? Simply leaving your house is a privilidge granted by your masters?

The answers to these are very telling as to what kind of country we live in.

You can have it your way, or we can be a free country. You can't have both.
