The Democrats know that there is nothing here, but the plan is act as if there is. That way, Americans who don't bother to read or learn the details can be given the wrong impression.

So expect much more from Democrats, who believe they may have found a winning issue against a White House....Halliburton and Harken, he says, are valuable for Democrats "as a metaphor for the Republican party and its coziness with big business and its propensity to think the rules don't apply to them. It's a great issue for Democrats." I guess that explains the attraction for Klayman?
BTW, $89 million out of $17 billion is less than 1%.
