The parents of missing girl Cassandra Williamson, Angela and Ernie Williamson, comfort each other at the scene of a massive search for their 6-year-old daughter, Friday morning, July 26, 2002.
Cassandra "Casey" Williamson, a 6-year-old who liked to sing and ride her bike, would have started first grade next month. Johnny A. Johnson, 24, was on probation for being a thief and burglar.

1. I will bet that the parents don't think there reason for separating was really all of that important now.
2. To the people on previous threads that said this little girl's family would not receive community support because they are "trailer trash," you are wrong.
3. To the people who said that Samantha's mom/grandmother's negligence was the reason for her being in a vulnerable situation: the dad was taking care of this little girl and it happened.
They obviously put their children as well as themselves in a vulnerable situation, and most likely over selfish motives in their marraige. But they have now suffered the ultimate price, and I can only hope we take away a lesson, to cherish our spouses and our children. But we must now pray for this family and their pain, that God will give them all of the strength they need to make it thru this trying time.
Happily married 11 years , stay at home mom throughout, 2 kids, girl 6 boy 10. Both like pop music, my little girl loves to sing britney songs with her friends as well as other music via the karoake machine, also loves Titanic. I guess we are doomed. Neither child has any interest in MTV or VH1, just the songs.
My son while in 2nd grade was a very mature reader ( some tests have him reading at grade 11) and he came across the book Jurassic Park on his grandpa's bookshelf and asked to borrow it. He had already seen the movie. He brought the book to school and his teacher saw it and called me telling me it was violent. I told her he has my permission to read the book and besides I bet all the second graders have seen the movie anyway. I thought that was strange.
Frankly having my 6 year old see these missing child stories on the news is much more disturbing.
I was taken back by that also. No way, at that age ! No way !
We used to have these things called "State Mental Hospitals". They were closed down in the 70's. Hence the trend of "homelessness". It was more cost effective and safer for society when these state run hopsitals were operating. Now we pay for it indirectly. Most "homeless" people ARE schizophrenic, drug addicted, or alcoholics. But the liberals think its better to have them on the streets--it gives the liberals something they can do for political brownie points.
How do you explain the nude drawing session and the sex-in-the-car scene....Let alone all the awful carnage of the sinking????
Somebody would have to step over my dead body to pop that video in the VCR for my kids to see.
Though I certainly pity the girl's suffering family...anyone who trusts some stinking transient and brings them into their home is taking a tremendous risk. How they could possibly have been so foolish is beyond my understanding.
And if some do-gooder pressured them into it, then said do-gooder deserves to be horse whipped, tarred, feathered, ridden about on a rail....and then severely punished!
Johnson talked with Bradley Stuart, 13, on Thursday evening ... Johnson said, "I am going to kill my mom," according to Stuart. "He said it again." Then Johnson said, "Let's go swimming in the Meramec." Stuart didn't go.
Missouri FReepers ... do you have anything additional from the media on this statement regarding Johnson's mother?
