"I've been expecting that question since January 19, 2001. I'm amazed, still amazed, that nobody has picked up on it until now," said Mr. Ray, whose final report cited the opinions in footnote 22 without mentioning their intent. Only someone totally unfamiliar with our media could be amazed at the length of time it took. Neither the NY Times nor the Washington Post nor CBS nor NBC nor ABC nor Time nor Newsweek put any investigative personnel on this story because it was about a Democrat. Had the exact same thing happened to a Republican, the media would have been at his door that very evening.
Prosecutor Ray, so not up to the job.

I believe it was Joe Biden who told the House Impeachment Counsel (forget his name but he is a old time Democrat) that even if you had a video tape of Clinton raping her and shooting her in the head you couldn't get 67 votes. I am paraphrasing of course but something like that was stated. I firmly believe NOTHING would have got the Senate to REMOVE the scumbag from office.

Ray is a disgrace. There is no "barrier" to indictment, and certainly he could have indicted Hillary. It is an old adage that a D.A. could get a grand jury to "indict a ham sandwich". Of course getting a conviction is something else.
But if Ray had indicted Hillary (obstruction for tampering with billing records) and Bill (perjury, etc), even had he not won a conviction, the Clintons would NOT be able to sue to recover perhaps $10 million in legal fees, as they are doing now. It will be a shameful day when the Clintons get a check from your tax dollars because of Ray's malfeasance.

"The President pulls out a gun and shoots his wife. Are you going to tell me that he wouldn't be indicted? " In Klinton's case, some might rule it justifiable.

"The President (Beelzebubba) pulls out a gun and shoots his wife (The HildaBeast). Are you going to tell me that he wouldn't be indicted? "Before or after the National Day of Thanksgiving and Celebration??

Former independent counsel Robert Ray has acknowledged asking President Clinton's own Justice Department for guidance at a critical juncture of his investigation in the hope of nudging Mr. Clinton into a plea bargain deal while still president. So long as Bill had Janet's skirt to hide behind, this plea bargain would never have happened.

What Bisesi said.
"..I firmly believe NOTHING would have got the Senate to REMOVE the scumbag from office."
Righto. It makes expelling Traficant from the Senate a little more suspicious, IMHO. Traficant is exposing the wrongdoing in .gov and he gets the boot. Condit clams up, he stays.
If you lie, you're In.
If you expose the truth, you're Out.
In other words - business as usual.

If the president's name were Clinton (either Bill or Hillary) then it would be a clear case of justifiable homicide - though the Nation would be better off if the survivor were impeached and indicted.

A three/fourth's majority of States' legislatures can remove a President.

I didn't know that. Interesting. Thanks.

""The President pulls out a gun and shoots his wife. Are you going to tell me that he wouldn't be indicted? "" Well, yes, that is correct. A sitting President is immune from any legal prosecution.
I would hope that in a case of murder that congress would remove him from office in very short order, but with Clinton I don't know even then.
He should have been given a major award if he had done this.
