On this thread, I posted some links to video of the Ukrainian air show disaster. The MSNBC links were extraordinarily difficult to obtain - MSNBC web pages require upwards of 20 ancillary javascript [.js] and vbscript [.vbs] files [some of which are included by code written in code, i.e. by calls to window.document.write()], and I was going crazy trying to find the actual Microsoft Media Server [MMS] streams. Finally I got exasperated, put a sniffer on the network, and looked at every HTTP GET in raw ethernet bytecode. To make a long story short, MSNBC streams at two speeds: High speed, which is 100 kbps, and low, or modem speed, which is about 33.3 kbps. MSNBC also has two kinds of servers: An ordinary server [od-msnbc.msnbc.com, at IP address 207.46.150.207], and an archive server [ar-msnbc.msnbc.com, at IP address 207.46.150.204]. This gives a total of four sources for the MMS streams. Here's how to link to them.
