See already you are calling me names and attacking my opinions when I am only trying to tell you what has been my experience. Instead of trying to help me see the error of my ways you launch into name calling and disparaging my points of view.

You cannot deny that the libertarians promote homosexuality and prostitution when their support is clearly stated in the plank and on their website. Then you pull the liberal tact (Ala Clintoon) by trying to argue what the meaning of "is" (it) is. Clearly anyone who read my post should understand that the "it" I was talking about was in reference to legalizing prostitution and homosexuality by framing it as a property rights issue. Did you understand the use of "IT" in my last sentence? I hope so because I'll just refer you to the dictionary.

Well, why don't you quit engaging in blanket generalizations:

Libertarians promote many immoral activities that they parade around as rights. Like prostitution, homosexuality and things of that nature.

It's hard to debate with someone who frames his viewpoint in such a manner. Try responding to individual comments from individual libertarian posters, and maybe the tone of debate on the threads will improve.

So saying the government has no role in prohibiting a vice somehow equates to promoting that vice? Guess William F. Buckley is promoting drugs now, since, even though he soundly condemns drug use, is questioning drug prohibition.

Khep, the other problem that libertarians have is the lie of "between mutually consenting adults." The truth is that "no man is an island alone unto himself." Everything has consequences that spread beyond ourselves. Generally they are unintended, but they are important.

That's why a social morality that has been demonstrated as working to uphold the social fabric must itself be upheld. And that's why a libertarian plank to take away the legal stigma of things that "don't harm anyone else" such as drug abuse, prostitution, etc, is dangerous to our republic.

Shalom.
