Has it occurred to you that the severe water shortage is somewhat contrived? How on earth does Saudi Arabia provide water to its population? There exist other ways to provide water to a population w/o all the land confiscation. (which isn't really for the water issue anyways, it's make work for COE and get the land away from the nasty peasants for the Sierra Club).

I've tried, but there is pretty much no more reason to keep responding to you. Thanks anyway for the discussion.

No reason? Because I dare question the motives of fat bureaucrats and the questionable agenda of capitalist hating 'environmental' groups like Sierra Club? Do you *really* think the people controlling the Sierra Club have the same agenda that the founders of Sierra Club did? Check out ruralcleansing.com. Look up the resources sauropod mentioned. I once thought that the whole thing was tinfoil hat. Not any more. Go to Conservation International's homepage. Their idea is to have a completely connected 'corridor' from Alaska to Patagonia that is completely people free. They've stated as much. Do you doubt that? Has it occurred to you that people who currently own land in the path of CI's goals might *not* be willing sellers and that CI might need 'collusion' from local authorities in the form of 'water shortages', 'open spaces', bio-diversity reserves' and the like? Just look around and think about it. 5 years ago I would normally have assumed that the water shortage was bona fide and real and there was *no* other way to get the water. Now however, especially since Jeb is in bed with the Sierra Club (among others) ,who is a UN/NGO btw, I can no longer assume that the stated reason for confiscation has anything to do with the end result or goal.

Your knowledge of George Bush and the Ball Park in Arlington is pitiful.

but I do know that central and south Florida are quickly running out of water.

You've been lied to. Water quantity isn't the problem, it's crappy management and not enough private interest involved.

The flow mostly takes place underground and most of the land you walk on in Tampa is sitting on that crust you see heavy machinery pulling up when a lake or canal is being dug. We'd all be under water after a good rain if it all didn't flow into the Ocean.

One thing though is that growth has to slow down....These same property owners complaining..

Your "libertarian minded"? Uh, not for anything but just imagine someone sending you a letter telling you to uproot your life and sell your home (at a price they deem "fair") whether you like it or not.

You need to rethink your postition sir.

No sir. I suggest that you are the one that has no idea. See Jay Walley's postings on the issue (Paragon Foundation) and Carol LaGrasse.

CEs are a favorite tool of the eco-fascists. MF, Sheila, GD, any one of you have Carol's articles handy for this bozo?

Sheesh, coming out of the woodwork i tell ya.

Answer Black Agnes's post # 66. There is no such thing as a willing seller when gvt regulations depress land values so far that they get the land at fire sale prices.

Answer her post.

Closest thing that i am aware of is "smart growth" and Agenda 21. A21 will tell people where they can live and how much the developed countries must give the developing countries so that they are "sustainable."

Let me amend that. CBD and the wildlands project is a form of "international zoning" in a way.

Let me tell you a story friend, their is no such thing as a willing seller when your homes, lands, and heritages have already been regulated to death and you are forced to become a willing -seller!!!!!!!!!! Get this through your head, there is no such thing when you don't want to sell but are forced to, no matter the amount of money!!!!!!!!!! Money is not everthing! Having a home you have worked so hard for is!!!!!! And who in the Hell gave the government the right to force or sugguest a conservation easement on anyone????????????? That means no development! Not even fixing your own barn or septic system!!!!!! Think I don't know what I am talking about, then you come and live in
my backyard! How dare you dare even think you know what you are talking about and as such downgrading those of us that do! I am sorry, you have my dander up and you need to get your head out of the sand and wake up! Conservation easements are worse than eminent domain because they are "inviting the devil through the door"! Too late once he is in!!!!!!!

Let there be no doubt in your mind, that conservation easements are more evil than eminent domain and if you think otherwise, you are either an idiot or a proficient liar!

Do you have the picture that shows the desired cleansing of Floridians from the land over the next fifty years? I saw it posted once, but I don't know who posted it. Perhaps you know someone who has it.

"I would grab a rifle and get in the trench and fight and die," Clinton proclaimed,

Doubt there is much fight in him, but it wouldn't bother me if he kicked the bucket.
