August 6, 2002 -- WANT to know why books that scream about liberal media bias sell hundreds of thousands of copies? You need look no farther than the cover of this week's Time.
The magazine has turned over massive amounts of its precious space for what can only be described as an effort to erase the truth about the recent past to serve the interests of the Democratic Party.

I guess they're having circulation problems, so they're trying shock value for a boost.
Like Rosie O's declaration of being a lesbian, it'll fall flat, imho.

This article is every bit as stupid as the posters here that blame Clinton for the attacks. The blame for the attacks goes to the Saudi scum that committed the attacks. Seems simple enough but very few seem to get it.

Are you suggesting Time is admitting to the L word as well? In this case, Liberal, which we also have know about all along?

If this were true, wouldn't the AlGore campaign for president be shouting it from the rooftops? Wouldn't AlGore say that we need to elect him to stay the course against Osama? He didn't because the Clinton administration didn't have a clue. They still don't. This is a complete lie. Don't you love it as the liberal media continues to destroy itself?

8 years vs 9 months. 6 attacks under clinton with no real response, 1 attack under Bush leading to the destruction of the Taliban, the scattering of Al Quada, the probably death of Bin Laden, freedom finally for women in Afghanistan, children back in school there as well.
8 years of lies, deception, scapegoating, inaction refusal to protect American lives, especially military lives. I hope Clinton can't sleep at night knowing he didn't beat Bin Laden, George W. Bush did.

"NOW THEY BLAME BUSH FOR 9/11 " I am only amazed there will be people that are amazed that "they" blame Bush. This was in the cards since 911.
The media attacks on GW will only get louder in the next 3 months leading up to the Nov elections. "They" have always been willing to say or do anything to garner votes. Hmmmm, for that matter ......

Its easy to go to Time.com and send them an email. I have already shot off two to them about this outrageous story. Ask them what kind of bonus they got from the DNC to write this crap. Clearly, this revisionist history is laughable, but unfortunately, there are many out there who believe the leftist lieing liberal democrats.

LEAD FOCUS
OSAMA BIN LADEN THREATENS THE U.S. ON AMERICAN TELEVISION By Steve Macko, ERRI Risk Analyst
WASHINGTON (EmergencyNet News) - A terrorist financier wanted by Saudi Arabian and U.S. authorities for at least two bombings appeared on U.S. network television on Wednesday and challenged the U.S. military to try to capture him. Appearing on ABC News' "World News Tonight" and later on "Nightline," Osama bin Laden spoke from what it said was a heavily-armed camp somewhere inside Afghanistan, which has given refuge to the stateless Saudi Arabian and a group of his followers.
The slight and bearded bin Laden appeared in a poorly-lit tent and said he was ready if U.S. forces attempted to track him down and arrest him.
The terrorist challenged, "Whether they try or not, we have seen in the last decade the decline of the American government and the weakness of the American soldier."
Bin Laden has vowed to wage a jihad or holy war against U.S. forces in Saudi Arabia because of U.S. support for Israel. He broadened his threat to include all Americans, military and civilian, in the Middle East.
He said, "We do not differentiate between those dressed in military uniforms and civilians. They are all targets in this fatwa (a religious decree) ... we must use such punishment to keep your evil away from Moslems, Moslem women and children."
The U.S. State Department has identified bin Laden as a major world sponsor of Islamic extremism. He is believed to have been a major financier of the two terrorist bombings in Saudi Arabia.
The terrorist said, "We predict a black day for America."
U.S. National Security Advisor Sandy Berger told ABC News in their report, "Osama bin Laden may be the most dangerous non-state terrorist in the world."

Let me repeat...
The terrorist challenged, "Whether they try or not, we have seen in the last decade the decline of the American government and the weakness of the American soldier."

Kattracks, those Saturday morning TV writers had to find SOMETHING to scribble after Captain Planet and He Man & the Masterbators of the University were cancelled.
It plays like one of the scripts to those trashy cartoons, doesn't it?

The cartoons make more sense.

He didn't because the Clinton administration didn't have a clue. They still don't. This is a complete lie. Don't you love it as the liberal media continues to destroy itself? He had his chance, and he failed to do anything effective about it whatsoever!

"A presidential executive order issued during the Clinton
administration hamstrung the FBI so badly that bureau
lawyers decided it would be illegal to infiltrate Osama bin
Laden's terrorist training camps in Afghanistan, a senior
FBI official during the Clinton administration said Saturday."

"I don't believe 9-11 happened because of an intelligence breach," Quayle told Fox News Channel's "Hannity & Colmes."
"I think it was really a policy breach. It was the inaction of the previous administration, by and large, that al Qaeda -- and bin Laden in particular -- thought that they could hit the United States, and there would be a retaliation maybe of a cruise missile but nothing more than that," he explained.
The comments make the former vice president, who served under President Bush's father from 1989 to 1993, the highest ranking former U.S. official to suggest that the Clinton administration should get the lion's share of the blame for not preventing the 9-11 attacks.

Bill Clinton is not to blame for Sept. 11, just as George Bush is not responsibleThe Pod was doing good until he got emotional and bipartisan. Of course it was the terrorists who killed Americans but it was Clinton, Cohen, Berger and Halfbright who were derelict in their duty to protect and defend the citizens of this nation.
