at least he took responsibility by resigning. Janet Reno said she took full responsibility for the Waco debacle but she didn't . . . and Clinton didn't ask for her resignation, either--so actually he is "responsible." In a manner of speaking; you can't actually use that name and that word in the same sentance, of course. When the Marine barracks bombing occured Reagan declined to assign responsibility to the commanders on site, and a reporter asked Reagan if he was going to resign! Somehow that thought never occurred to a reporter after Waco, when massive civilian deaths followed federal agents' initiative . . .

Weird Bill just loves the sound of his own voice apparently. I suggest that his punishment be that he is denied all further publicity or media appearances. After 6 weeks of that treatment, and running through his interns, his head would swell, turn purple and explode.

And of course, Clinton, won't even take responsibility for anything. He just shuffles it off on others...such as Bush1 . . . and Bush2 simultaneously, in this case. A twofer.

his punishment be that he is denied all further publicity or media appearances . . . after a moment's reflection it hit me--Clinton is a disruptor. If x42 himself were posting on FR, his words would be pulled by the moderator for creating flame wars. We're barking up the wrong tree, even discussing the creep.

Would I still be greedy if I wished a penny rather than a dime for each said utterance?

There were some reports a while back (around March). A GPS unit was found with "G. Gordon" engraved on it. The only causalty we've had that would fit those initials on a GPS receiver is MSGT Gordon.

Hi "Elle Bee"!
He make me ever so sick! With that in mind, there is a "poll" on the netscape homepage which requires a vigorous freeping! It reads:
"Which of these recent presidents should be added to Mt. Rushmore?
Bill Clinton 6%
George H. W. Bush 4%
Ronald Reagan 35%
Jimmy Carter 6%
Gerald Ford 1%
Richard Nixon 2%
Lyndon Johnson 2%
John F. Kennedy 44%" *
I am unable to do the link thing, or I would have done it here. Perhaps someone would help me out with this?
Thanks.

unable to do the link thingIf you do not include text that looks like HTML in your reply, then your reply will post exactly as typed, including all <, > and & symbols that HTML considers special. Vertical space will be preserved, to start a new paragraph you would only need to press your Enter key twice, just as you would in a word processor. Additionally, anything that looks like a hyperlink ex. http://www.freerepublic.com/ will automatically be hyperlinked!

Mr. Clinton instead aborted the mission. There was an excellent two hour program on The History Channel Sunday with the author of the book Black Hawk Down. In addition, there were the vets that were in Somalia commenting on this mission.
These men were upset that they didn't get to finish what was started. The militiamen of Somalia believe they have defeated the U.S. because Clinton pulled the troops out.
One vet on this program said, they would have kept fighting until not one building was left standing.
The most upsetting thing to see are our soldiers being dragged through the streets of Mogedishu (sp?)
Clinton is a POS!

XXX42 is contributing to the process of rewriting history.
As with the current Times mag article about the alleged Clinton/Gore terror battle plan handed the GW in January '01, Clinton/Democrat Party CYA fiction is polluting media research databases around the world.
Future generations of reporters, historians, and students will have a difficult time actually discovering the truth through these "muddied waters". This defense tactic is only a trick well learned in law schools, and practiced throughout Clinton's life.
The Clintons' coprophagic lick spittles in the media will dutifully report his statements with the same thoroughness as they reproted that, "I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinski.", and with the same take-on-faith passivity of Hillary's (temporary) cattle future investment brilliance (bribery).
I recall, as reported only in British newspapers, that Joyce's father told Clinton that 'He (XXX42) was unfit to lead.'

This defense tactic is only a trick well learned in law schools, and practiced throughout Clinton's life. I believe there is a lot of truth in what you say - however in the final analysis, historical truth usually wins. The lefties may try to change it, but as the effects of history lie all around us, it's not really possible. Even when Stalin controlled all academia in the USSR, it was not possible to conceal the extent of the Great Terror. It only requires a few historians who are willing to tell the truth, and God grant we never run out of those.

The version I heard had it as the father of Randall Shughart - at the ceremony where the Medal of Honor was awarded.

hutch.....you may be right, Shughart's dad did say that...several of the dads(retired military) made comments to the press afterwards and I was confused on who said what.
doug...can you clear this up?
To: mystery-ak
It seems a lot of the next-of-kin were quite upset with Clinton about this.
