How about an executive order to clear-cut?

How about a congressional mandate to properly manage the forests, wilderness areas and the national parks?

For the semi arid evergreen forests of the intermountain West, clearcuts are just as bad as the raging forest fires. There are clearcuts in the county I live in, Idaho county in Idaho, that were logged in the sixties and there still aren't any trees growing there. Just massive brush patches. This despite several attempts to plant trees by hand. Selective harvesting mature trees over large acreages with helicopters would be far better for long term forest health than clearcutting small acreages. And temporary haul roads that are removed shortly after harvesting would be better than the $1 million/mile permanent roads that Washington D.C. likes. And far less costly.
