These disorders have been here all along. But the trigger to set off the symptoms hasn't. Such things as Nitendo and a lot of TV cartoons are triggers. I am 45 was thought to have ADD ADHD as a kid and now have General Anxiety Disorder. Remember the allergy thread last night? I mentioned being allergic to mold and certain pollens? Well it was really severe as a kid and prolonged to the extent I took allergy shots. I have every classic symptom of a dysfunctional Vestibular System including Titinitus. What I hear certain sounds, certain visual effects set it off to now a seizure type response. I can't even watch most TV shows.
About 6 years ago I found a used book called Phobia Free by Harold Levinson that helped me piece together what my doctors could not. My life long medical history vs my on going anxiety attacks. SSRI's done a number on me but nearly killed my wife who also has Vestibular dysfunction common to quadriplegia. To get a quad to even tolorate sitting up in a chair again a tilt table is used. I've seen news articles where school systems are backing off on ADD ADHD because they are realizing C.A.P.D. is far more common. An Audiologist preforms tasking testing and this is where it shows up. BTW Levinson still uses the terms ADD ADHD but still stands by his theory as to Vestibular Dysfunction being a cause.
