I guess I hadn't gotten much information on this story so reading the details really impacted me. I hope you like it. It's the cover article for the latest edition of
World.

I can't help but get enraged at those dirty scum towel heads when I read this story...

I've been weeping while reading this, out of anger and sadness at the people who took this man and others from their families, but most of all from the knowledge that everything Lisa Beamer says is SO true. We are in God's Great hands, no one elses. She and her husband are a true testament to God's love and power. She is a truly, Godly woman. God Bless her.

Good post.
May the Lord hold all of flt 93's passengers (heros) in the palm of His hand.

This article is so timely, coming shortly before the anniversary. I just think that if we could have really digested this woman's message and attitude, we would all be better off. I don't see bitterness in her and it seems so important to me that our nation strive to see justice done WITHOUT the self-destructive bitterness that has accompanied many of us this past year.

I started to read this, but had to stop.
Saved for later.

I agree. I read once that when some metal is being formed by fire, that it's made stronger and that people are the same way. When we're tested by "fire", we either come out stronger or weaker. In memory of all the people who died because of the insanity of those who performed these horrific acts, I can only pray that we all come out of this stronger and more Godly.

May God Bless these brave people.
May the Devil claim the terrorists sooner than later.
Stay safe; stay armed.

Friends, this article is the epitomy of why our nation is strong. It reflects and reveals the inner strength, a faith that awaits the requisite moment to reveal itself ... a quiet, non-assuming faith. Not the presumptuous, compelling tyranny of our enemies.
And yet, in that dark moment of my soul, I first cried out to God. I knew without a doubt that my hope wasn't based on Todd or any other human being. Nor was it based even on life itself, when I got right down to it. My faith wasn't rooted in governments, religion, tall buildings, or frail people. Instead, my faith and my security were in God.
I will immediately add this book to my family's library and read it with the entire family when it becomes available. Non-assuming, straight forward statements like this are inspirational and should give all call for reflection.
Never before in my life had the difference between those who believe in the Lord and those who do not believe been so obvious to me. Following Sept. 11, I saw firsthand many dear people who were trying their best to cope with loss, hurt, anger, fear, and a host of other feelings. Some had lost a husband, father, daughter, mother, or friend. They wanted to soar like eagles; they deeply desired to get on with life. They wanted to look on the bright side and do the things the cliches recommend, but they didn't have the strength. Worse yet, they had no hope. My family and I mourned the loss of Todd deeply that day ... and we still do. But because we hope in the Lord, we know beyond a doubt that one day we will see Todd again. I hurt for the people who don't have that same hope, and I pray they will see something in our family that will encourage them to trust in the Lord.
Indeed Mrs. Beamer ... and I hope and pray that your humble and honest prayer will be answered many million fold. Todd's life and sacrifice will then continue to give through your faith.

Thanks for the ping, if any thread should ever deserve to have thousands of replies, it would be this this one.
