Global Crossing was set up to be a bust-out from day one. Winnick got his old Milliken/Boesky era friends --Bruce Raben,Dean C. Kehler, Andrew R. Heyer, and Jay R. Bloom at the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce--to put up the front money. Then Winnick pumped the stock and took out $735 million for himself. The Canadians played the stock all the way to the bottom, making over $1 billion for their trouble (they even made hundreds of millions when GX was trading for pennies a share).

The company never made one cent in profit.

Now Winnick is pulling a Marc Rich and buying off the Simon Wiesenthal Center and other powerful groups in and outside of Israel. Rich and Winnick are involved in the same Israeli charity, one which gives kids a free trip to Israel (I assume not everyone qualifies for this largeness).

If a CEO did this and gave the loot to the Christian Coalition or for free trips to the Vatican, the media would go ballistic and not stop until every dime was returned. You know that, I know that, everyone knows that.

But go ahead. Encourage Americans to send a couple bucks to the IDF. Who cares? Suckers deserve to be ripped off. Ask Garry Winnick.

And seeing as how Israel is fighting her war for "all of humanity" and the United States of America, it is for a good cause. Much better than buying pizzas for American troops, right?

A lie. If this was true they would be prosecuted. Laying fiber optics and other telecom had a great future a few years ago. Many invested in many companies because the future looked bright. Cisco used to be a high fling stock ..... All due to bright telecom future.

You really have thing for the Weisenthal Center don't you? They do much positive in this world ......unlike you. You really have a lot of nerve trying to drag Weisenthal though the mud.

OY!!!  Now you rail against Jewish organizations funding trips to Israel by young Jews! Will your madness ever end?

You seems to have a gripe with everyone the Jewish people do. I have never seen you say one thing positive about Jews or Israel. Go seek help.
