I agree. And the same goes for another regulated activity, alcohol. Big government should not be in the business of telling businesses that they can or cannot sell it, serve it, or let their customers drink it on their premises.

Totally agreed! Leave the legal commodities alone! And "it's for the kids," isn't flying anymore.

KIDS HAVE NO BUSINESS IN A BAR! AND KIDS HAVE NO PLACE IN A SMOKING SECTION!

I say TAKE THE KIDDIES TO MCDONALDS. I hear they serve up a GREAT hot apple pie. heh!

Agreed. Banning smoking is NOT a political issue. It's a discusting habit like spitting. I could care less what I get called.

So, since the world rotates on YOUR arse, you want to put every small business owner in America out of business.

Your pretty narrow minded for a Conservative, aren't you?

I have to disagree with you. This is about the business owner having the right to allow/disallow smoking as they see fit. I hate being around cigarette smoke, too, so I simply choose not to go to a place that allows it. I don't like being around people who have been drinking even less, so I don't know what's so much more awful about smoking in bars. It's not like health is an issue if you going to be consuming alcoholic drinks to the point you'd be hanging out in a bar long enough to be affected by the smoke anyway.

Lets see, if you think banning smoking in NYC will put every small buisness owner out of buisness in America, you have been smoking something stronger than cigarettes.

Why is it the weirdos, the politicaly misinformed and Democrats are so quick to pull out Nazi images. Calling people Nazis is a Liberal trick. You wouldn't happen to be a liberal would you?

I hate perfume, I am going to vote to ban it????

Your comment is about as ridiculous as mine.

go somewhere that doesn't permit smoking - don't force all owners, including those of places you will never enter to cater to your likes and dislikes.

Why can't you get your buddies together and ask the owner to change his policy based on market request??? That's too much trouble, you would rather let the government do it.
