McAuliff is about as low down scummy as they make Democrats these days. He will always spin and lie. If his record weren't so filthy he would run for office. You can see how power mad he is.

Great two cents, as per usual. I do hope that McAuliffe's attacks backfire....

"McAuliffe, in one breath, trashes the President of using 9/11 for political reasons. But then, in the next, slams him for failing to use 9/11 for action on Social Security, health care, the economy.'

Let him keep spewing, JH2. The more he spews, the better for the Republicans.

As for Gore...
DINGELL-NORWOOD!!!

McAuliffe: "Gore was robbed, he deserves a rematch!" Read: I work for the Clintons. Bush will be unbeatable in 2004. Let Gore get blown away to open the door for Hillary in 2008."

There's at least three ways of reading this headline. Actually, I count four!

The popular vote is very decieving. Bush won ten more states than Gore. In Massachusetts, where I live, gore got over 60% of the vote, suprisingly low in my opinion, but easily pushing up his popular vote totals. But does MA, or the rest of New England for that matter represent the nation? New England, with the exception of New Hampshire, automatically votes Democrat for president. In a country as regional as the USA, a close popular vote reflects nothing other than a close election.

I just saw something again about replacing the electoral college..... Can you imagine the chaos if you had a very close national vote --- they would have to hand count the entire nation --- If the candidate were al gore they would have to do it 4 or 5 times.... Myself I can't wait to start freeping gore again.

"Presidents aren't elected by popular vote, but by electoral votes. The electoral college system is found in Article II, section I of the constitution. In the U.S., presidential elections consist of 50 statewide contests: The candidate who gets the most electoral votes, wins. Simple as that. "

It is apparent to me that the constitution means nothing to the Dems in general or "Mr Snippy" (snicker) in particular. If it did, they wouldn't even BRING UP the popular vote. It is irrelevant.

Great 2 cents as usual.

Arggghhhhh! It makes me sick how many people buy this garbage spewed from the cesspool named Terry McAuliffe.

It's obvious he's setting Gore up as the sacrificial lamb. None of the DNC elite want him to run. That way it leaves Hillary! a clear run in 2008.

Great analysis as always John.
