Men Watch Porn In SUV, Face Felony Charges
Suspects Face Up To Six Months In Prison
Posted: 12:01 p.m. EDT August 13, 2002
HIGH POINT, N.C. -- If you're going to watch an X-rated movie, you might want to do it in private.
Police in North Carolina have busted four men who were watching porn on a video system in a Lincoln Navigator SUV. They're now facing felony obscenity charges.
One of the men, Chris Edwards, doesn't know what all the fuss is about. He says the porn they were watching "wasn't nothing freaky." He says it just showed a "little bit of getting it on."
Each of the men faces up to six months in prison if convicted.

These men should be thankful that they live in a commumity so utterly crime-free that their donut patrol can afford to target 'crimes' like watching a smut flick in their car...

What the heck is in the water down yonder in North Carolina???
Sure ain't the same as it was when I was stationed down there in the 1980's!!!!
As an aside, methinks the donut munchers just wanted to confiscate the tape...

Well I guess that will teach them hey? I suppose they will have to release a murderer and a couple of rapists to make room for them in prison but hey, the law is the law regardless of how stupid and pointless it is.

Didn't you see the words SUV????????? The left's attack on the SUV continues...blame it on the gas guzzler :^)
To: chance33_98
They worded that wrong; it should be something like: An SUV allegedly displayed pornography to two men. 'Cause it's always the SUV doing things on its own.

Wait a minute . . . what were four men doing watching a skinflick in an SUV? COUGHcoughhomosayswhat?coughcoughcough....

Is watching or reading porn in your own home considered a crime in N.C?? Oh my god, seeing people having sex is felony that gets you locked away for six years at a stretch. And if it you think its filthy watching that kind of porn, how about ogling a Playboy covergirl? I think its an excessive punishment for what is after all a "victimless" crime.

Sorry that should have read six months in prison. I still think its way out of proportion to the nature of the offense. Slap a fine if you like on the guys, but in this country we shouldn't jail people for reading or watching adult material or any other material for that matter on their on time. As far as I'm concerned its none of the state's business as to what my reading or viewing interests are.
