Even The Schwimmer would have a hard time voting NO against a daughter of immigrants! Its a nice fantasy but somehow I doubt it will pander to the Hispanic lobby and the "in" mood in Washington these days is to try to open the gates to illegal aliens as much as can be done without risking a political backlash from citizen voters.

Let's be serious. I like Ms Malkin for her reporting but the head of the INS has to have some administrative and leadership experience and ability.

The INS needs a head with a sense of mission and seriousness about their job. Michelle Malkin would be an awesome pick, and this selection would fast-track her for GOP superstardom for decades.
She would be an inspired choice for Bush.
