Farrakhan Rails Against 'White Supremacy'

Washington, D.C. (CNSNews.com) - Thousands of blacks rallied in Washington Saturday in support of reparations for past slavery, joining Nation of Islam Leader Minister Louis Farrakhan and shouting "They owe us!"

"We're not asking white people [for reparations]," said Farrakhan, who headlined the 'Millions for Reparations Mass Rally'. "We are demanding what is justly ours."

Farrakhan also urged enlisted military personnel to not fight for the U.S. should an armed strike against Iraq be initiated, and called for the ceding of land to black Americans.

The Nation of Islam minister told the predominantly black, pro-reparations crowd that "reparations is a proper theme around which all black America should and must unite."

Farrakhan believes the U.S. government should issue reparations to black Americans as compensation for past slavery in the United States, saying "our pocketbooks" need repair.

By his account, blacks need "payment for the destruction of our minds; the robbery of our language, our culture, our history, our religion, our God, our self-dignity, and our self-worth."

However, Farrakhan said, "We cannot accept a cash payment because a fool and his money will soon part." Instead, he advocated the transfer of "millions" of acres of land from the U.S. government to African Americans.

Farrakhan explained that blacks live in an America that is a "nation within a nation." The America that blacks inhabit, he said, does not enjoy "true freedom, justice and equality" from white America.

"As a nation within a nation, we need land as a basis of economic and political independence," Farrakhan said. "We cannot settle for some little jive token - we need millions of acres of land that black people can build and use for ourselves."

Farrakhan said his "just demand" for building a black nation on American soil would reward blacks for their service in the United States military.

He concluded his brief 15-minute speech urging blacks, Hispanics and "poor whites" enlisted in the military not to support or fight in any military attack that President Bush may unleash upon Iraq.

"I don't think we need to fight in the white man's army," Farrakhan said. "Our fight is in America against the recalcitrance of white supremacy, and we shall win this fight because it's a just struggle."

Socialist Agrees With Farrakhan on Reparations

"There should be restitution for the crimes of slavery," said John Coursey, a representative of Solidarity, a group that describes itself as a "revolutionary, socialist, democratic, feminist, anti-racist organization." He claimed that much of the inequalities that exist in American society today can be traced back to slavery.

Coursey acknowledges that slavery was outlawed in the U.S. more than a century ago, but laws and segregation continued to oppress blacks well into the 1970s and still do so today.

He believes corporations operating in America today should also pay reparations to blacks for the hardships of their ancestors decades and centuries ago.

"Specifically, I think the money should come from corporations that have built their power today from exploiting and oppressing black people," Coursey said. "Look at the people that have wealth who have actually exploited slavery and benefited from it."

Coursey said a reparations payout to blacks would act to balance America's "widely unequal" distribution of wealth.

Green Party Rep Compares Slavery to Holocaust

"If Germany could apologize for its crimes against gypsies and the Jews, why can't this country begin to do some apology and soul searching about what it's done to the American Indians and black people," asked David Barrows, a protestor representing the D.C. Statehood Green Party.

Slavery reparations are an official policy of the Green Party nationwide and the D.C. Statehood Green Party, Barrows said.

Barrows believes that compensating blacks is a great opportunity for the U.S. government to make a "clean break" from its oppressive past. "Reparations is a good start," he said.

"The country has to say, 'We committed crimes against humanity against a major part of our people, and we do not want to be a part of this exploitation,'" Barrows said.

"We cannot accept a cash payment because a fool and his money will soon part."

Why does the minister have such a low opinion of "his" people? He just called 'em FOOLS! If I said that I'd be called a bigot.

If they're too dumb to manage their money, what will happen to the land of a fool? Oh, I know, the land will go into a black homeland held in common for the good of all and managed by Calypso Louie.

That's exactly what I thought when I listened to Farrakhan's speech--and I thought it was most patronizing--you can't manage your money, so let ME do it.

A rap group near the end of the day-long charade had a line in a . . . I won't call it a song . . . that went, "I want ma money!" It should've been "I want yo money!"

You want what's mine? Then be a man about it, and come try and take it from me. I'll put my 30.06 against Farrakhan and all his bow-tied buffoons any day.

Farrakhan also urged enlisted military personnel to not fight for the U.S. should an armed strike against Iraq be initiated, and called for the ceding of land to black Americans.

There's a word for this: Treason.

Farrakhan said his "just demand" for building a black nation on American soil would reward blacks for their service in the United States military.

What about all the other races who served?

Don't forget that those black elites that beating the drums for reparations downplay any direct payments to individuals saying the money should go to various foundations and organizations who will spend the money in the best interest of the black people. In fact, a few have actually said that any money going to individuals will just be blown. I do imagine that if reparations is passed some direct token payments will be made, a few hundred dollars at most.

Not a lot of difference between, say, 900 and 2000. From what I heard they had almost as many unused Port-a-Johns as they did attendees.

They obviously were planning and hoping for 10's of thousands. To me it speaks volumes that not even Mad Maxine or Fat Al showed up. I also noted on the C-SPAN site that the head of BET, whats-his-name, was scheduled to be there. May have missed it, but I believe he was a no show also.

Farrakhan is nuts. If I put my white brain and skills inside a black skin, I could double my salary overnight. So, who's being discriminated against?

"Farrakhan Rails Against 'White Supremacy'"

Farrakhan is a terrorist enabler and always ranting about whites. This isn't news. Now, if Farrakhan announced he's converting to Christianity, will renounce all of his worldly goods and dedicate the rest of his life to reversing some of the damage he's caused over the years, THAT would be news.

I wish they'd stop kicking him off the mother ship and sending him back to us.

bump for catching up with the ping list later (my new cable modem should be in this evening - for those that don't know, we got struck by lightning Thursday night; I've only been intermittantly since then - my old iMac doesn't like the 28-35k phone line I've been relegated to)

There is another word that describes this, especially noteworthy during a time of war - Sedition

But no one properly enforces anything about sedition today.

Blacks have reasons to complain the same as Whites and American Indians. But they have no basis to make demands. Are they going to sue all the way back to the Blacks who captured them and sold them to the slave traders? And then are they going to sue the traders too?

All the Blacks have to do is read the Bible , many , many people have been slaves , included in those numbers are my Irish ancestors , along with many other people captured as "criminals" by the English so they could settle foreign lands for their aristocrats.

Why don't these Blacks quit their whinning and start building up something good. Why don't they make better living in intercity housing for their brothers , instead of asking them to help fund their organizations that just want to tear down society?

Get real , all they are doing is building hate between the Blacks and the Whites. I probably watched about an hour of their march , some of them made no sense at all. Even my 15 year old daughter said what some of them were saying was stupid.

I want Human Rights for all of us. And the elites are our enemies , they will work to enslave us in their world rule utopia regardless of how many of us die. And the longer we fight amongst ourselves the closer they will get to their goal.

I could look forward to the day that all of us Americans' work together for Peace and Equality. But it appears I have to get ready for the day that the Blacks decide it's time to get even with Whitey as exhibited in the LA riots and Florida riots.

I know there are many Blacks out there who aren't part of this , but when the time comes the hate involved won't be selective. Many innocent Blacks and Whites and others will suffer because of this hate. And I'm talking about all sides , the hate will be infectious and an excuse for everyone to act in frustration.

People , Love is infectious too. We can just as easily work together to build up the nation , America is supposed to be. More than ever Americans need to come together to protect Human Rights , as our corrupt government shreds our Constitution , moving towards accepting the UN's / elites constitution that will enslave us all forever.

The God I know wants all of His people together. So I don't know what god they were talking about at the march , that wants to make Whitey pay....

Jesus is the answer to our problems , many of which have been bred by the elites for their gain.

Let's fight to build a better Nation and end the corruption and greed in our government. And not fall for the obvious trap that has been set for us , which will tear down our society and increase the elites grip on our throats.

Let's work together to gain Peace and Equality instead of accepting the elites chains , because we can't live together in Peace.

That's their lie...

One Nation under God , indivisible , with liberty and justice for ALL , should be what "We" demand. It's what God says we deserve.

But first "We" have to put God back above the elites we have become servile to.

Fight , but fight the good fight , let's work together to build a great Nation , under God.

Saturday night Farrakhan spoke to the overflowing congregation at the West Hunter Street Baptist Church

A couple of obvious questions ... Why was a Christian Congregation turned over to a Black Muslim sermonist? ... Why was a Black Muslim paying any heed at all to the "infidels?"

The "T" in Booker T. stands for Taliaferro, pronounced and sometimes spelled Tolafer. I'm descended from a man named Taliaferro Craig who was the bastard son of Richard Taliaferro and Booker T. was also from that family.
