In the newsletter "Sobran's"(8/02), conservative columnist Joe Sobran writes "For Fear of the Jews" which is based upon a speech he delivered last June to the "Institute of Historical Review."
The IHR Web site offers, among other treatises, "a revisionist perspective on a wide range of historical issues including the "Holocaust," Auschwitz, World War II, Hitler, the Palestine/Israel conflict, Zionism, and the "Jewish question."
The Jew obsessed IHR, founded by, among others, accused KGB agent Willis Carto, is at the vanguard of a movement that questions the legitimacy of the Nazi Holocaust against the Jews of Europe.
The IHR challenges the 6 million figure commonly associated with the number of Jews liquidated by the Nazis.
Whether the actual figure was 6 million, 5 million, or, more probably closer to 7 million really misses the central and irrefutable point that the Nazis planned and systematically carried out the genocide.
The fact that over 50 years later people passing themselves off as serious scholars would insist on challenging this historic event is both grotesque and sick.
Joe Sobran, an otherwise serious thinker, must have no idea how hateful and hurtful such disreputable revisionism is to Jews, nor does he probably care

Based upon the knee jerk reaction on the FR to any negative comment regarding the Jewish people I tend to stay out of the discussion as I don't want to play poker when the deck contains only the anti-semite card.
If you can't tell the difference between "negative comments regarding the Jewish people" and a website which welcomes those who deny the Holocaust, and call it an "industry," then you're right to stay out of the discussions you stay out of.

Fair comment sinkspur. What I am attempting to say is, any other group on the left is fair game for our, well shall we say, occasional less than tactful comments.
For the life of me I cannot understand how an otherwise intelligent people can support such policies as presented by the left.
When any group supports these socialist/communist ideals, they are enemies of the USA.
I am annoyed by references to the "Christian Right", "religious right", "extreme right", etc..
I would, however, be shot down in less that a second if I were to refer to the "Jewish left", yet based upon their voting patterns I would be factually correct.

My apologies. Technicalities aside, I can hardly imagine you holding your tongue about this subject. Seeing as you have no ethical prohibitions with libel, why would slander be a problem for you? What is so difficult about providing something that should be so simple to come up with, unless my calling your bluff has revealed your lack of integrity. Or don't you care about integrity either?
I have asked you 5 or 6 times now to provide evidence to support your contention that Sobran has denied the Holocaust. Despite all the rant you have still not addressed this question. And all you can say is "So, sue me!"
The problems that beset this fair country of ours cannot be strictly pigeon-holed into easily defined boxes, but most of them can be attributed to people who have acted disingenuously toward one another. You can only blame yourself for what this country is becoming, because your actions on this thread help to destroy the very building blocks of civilization. You whine about the quality of our leaders in government, but they only reflect what you allow in your own life. Your lack of personal integrity and character is what's wrong with this country. Pity the poor man or child who has to live under the same roof as you do.
About 3 million Slavs were exterminated in a manner resembling the Holocaust. On the other hand most Death Camps were guarded by Polish and Ukranian SS.
Far more died at the hands of the Nazis and Soviets in the Eastern front.
Hitler wanted to diminish the Slavic population and turn them into slaves. (Of course this is no different than what Stalin did to various Turkic groups in Russia.) It was policies to that effect that turned teh Ukrain against the Nazis. However, there were hundreds of thousands of collaborators who joined the Nazis in killing Jews, communists, and anyone else.
If you want a non-Jewish population that suffered like the Jews, look at the Roma/Gypsies.
There are some very confused PAleso out there. Neocons have problems, but not like the neo-confederates poisoning the paleo movement.
