I've put together some pictures from the recent Millions for Reparations March. This isn't all of them, as I still need to fix some up, index them, and all that, but some of the ones that I think are the most interesting and relevant are here.
Warning: total download = 1.33M
Early shot of the entire field facing the main stage.
The poster reads:
ZULU
AMERIKKKA'S MOST WANTED
The Hot New Album
Explodes in Stores
September 11th
Votes for sale?
A group of New Black Panthers gathers around pictures of what I assume is various ancient atrocities committed against blacks. Considering that they got into an argument with one white who was on their side, this was as close as I was going to get.

"FROM PAST TO PRESENT"
Reparations supporters form a circle.
A Falun Gong meditation circle. These are people who are protesting the current imprisonment of people in China for nothing more than their religion. While they meditate, the speakers from the rally blare in the background.
A rather interesting contrast with the previous picture, I think.
The loudest conflict of the rally. The group above is engaging a bunch of the crowd with cameras watching.
California State Workers Union banner
The guy on the right is the one who the New Black Panthers was arguing with. With friends like these...
Poster listing a number of inventions by blacks, with patent numbers included.
The main section, around 12PM when the rally was scheduled to officially start.
The shot of the back of the field, taken to make sure that there would be no accusations about purposely ignoring part of the crowd.
The main section from far in the back.
This I thought was quite uncool. The counter-protestors are now facing the Falun Gong practicers. I'm not sure if they're shouting at them or just in their direction, but I don't see it as having been called for.
The main section again from a little closer in. At this point it's about 1:30PM.
Poster:
"Legally claim your tax exempt status as an African Slave Descendant.
Forms Available: $3.00"
Poster:
"The next bullet you use on one of us will be the first one we use to
STRIKE BACK"
First, note the poster on the right, and contrast with the previous picture. Second, the leftmost T-shirt says on top:
"Do onto others as you would have them do onto you."
Poster: "THE WRONG THING", flanked by US and Confederate flags.
The poster second from the top was the only other mention I saw/heard of King (the first was the Votes for Sale banner near the top).
Middle section crowd shot, around 2:30PM
Altered NBA logo reading "Nuthin' But Africans". Are they bragging or complaining?
General crowd shots, ~3:00PM
Final crowd shots right before we left, around 3:10PM, which appeared to be the peak time for the rally (what sound like closing songs were playing).
There are extremely large pictures of all of these, but I'm not quite ready to post them yet, and will add them to the web site when I can, along with actually writing a longer post-mortem. I just wanted to get this out for now.
If you want on (or off) of my black conservative ping list, please let me know via FREEPmail. (And no, you don't have to be black to be on the list!)
Extra warning: this is a high-volume ping list.
This photo confirms part of what I suspected about yesterday -- that for many, it was nothing more than an opportunity to make money by fleecing other suckers unsuspecting attendees...
And I want to win the lotto.
Get hip man, this is not about America.
Freaking freeloaders. Doesn't anyone want to actually WORK for a better life? Oh, no! Work? Heaven forbid!!
Besides that, the 150 million supposed dead and 100 million dying on the ships over to the North American continent. I remember reading somewhere the impossibility of those numbers based on the number of ships. Anybody have a link to that?
The other issue is the demand for international reparations and how they are going after those that profited from the slave trade internationally. Does that mean they're going to sue the nations of Africa and the descendants of those Africans that sold rival tribes into slavery? I mean the men on the slave ships didn't go into the deepest darkest parts of Africa to get these men and women. They were being sold on the shores by their enemies!!
You have to admire those loonies in a strange kind of way. They think that Bush taxing every other American to pay off blacks for sins that the rest of living Americans never committed would win him the election in 2004? Oh yeah. And I notice how small the turn-out was for the rally. Nobody's that dumb except for the would-be hucksters.
Of course not. This is all about hucksters going after money and they aren't going to get a penny out of Africa, everybody knows that. Think deep pockets and idiot American liberals. It won't work though, and yesterday's turnout should tell the organizers that the joke is up. They need to find another rip-off con artist game and Jesse Jackson is the master of that.
