Announcement: DC Chapter of Free Republic Meeting Sunday, August 25, 2002
August 18, 2002 | Angelwood and Kristinn

Posted on 08/18/2002 8:00:33 PM PDT by Angelwood

The DC Chapter of Free Republic invites all chapter members to come to an important meeting this coming Sunday, August 25, 2002, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at Kristinn's house. Light snacks and soft drinks will be provided.

Please contact myself or Kristinn by email or freepmail (angelwood8@earthlink.net or kristinn@bellatlantic.net) for directions to his new apartment.

Topics will include what the DC Chapter should do to observe the solemn occasion of one year after the 9/11 terrorist attacks on American soil and our plans for freeping the rats at the upcoming Fall fundraisers before the elections (Hi! Terry, Bill and Hillary!). We also would like to update our plans for reaching out to conservative college students.

Why is it possible to post news articles relevant to individual states, but not to the District of Columbia? There's no way to select "District of Columbia" when we select other states for state-specific news. I realize that DC's largely Demo, but the Demographics are changing (down to 60% now, from what I've heard...). Meanwhile the conservatives couldn't even organize well enough to field a Republican candidate for mayor. With Anthony Williams in such dire straits, it's possible that Republicans could have made some audible noise between now and November, but it's a missed opportunity. Perhaps it's worth having D.C. included on the list so that you guys can build up a base there too, that's not always diluted with Virginia and Maryland?

Can you add me to your DC Chapter ping list?

Hoping to get more involved in future DC FReeps. Unfortunately, I can't make this meeting, as I'll be in the other Washington (state) that day.

Whenever I see the "Fly your flag" thread making its rounds, I ask if we can have the DC flag added. Until then, we make use of our super-dooper DC Chapter ping list to notify the troops...

This is a question for John. Thanks for asking, though. I'd like there to be one also.

That is just a day after the choir concert in Falls Churc in which I am singing. (Everyone is invited.) I will be in church that morning but will try to make it to the meeting.

Hey there! Hi there! Ho there!

On Saturday, August 24, 2002, at 7:00 pm, the Celebration Choir will be presenting a concert of most of your favorite Disney songs, followed by an ice cream social. (A love offering will be accepted.) The event will take place at the Celebration Center of Religious Science, 2840 Graham Rd. (between lee Highway and Route 50), Falls Church, VA.

All the Celebration Mouseketeers would very much like to see you there. Since the world of Disney is the hapiest place on Earth, a good time will be had by all.

We look forward to seeing you on Saturday, August 24. lease come and bring your family and friends. We're in the mood for a celebration, and we'd love to celebrate with you.

Join the Jamboree!

How to Find the Celebration Center of Religious Science

The Celebration Center of Religious Science (formerly the National Science of Mind Center) is located in Falls Church, VA, at 2840 Graham Road between Route 50 and Lee Highway, at the Lee-Graham Shopping Center.

From the 495 National Capital Beltway Get off on Route 50 East. Turn left onto Graham Road, the second large intersection. (The third light.) Go up Graham Road about one mile to the only shopping center on the left before Lee Highway. Take the first left into the shopping center. The Celebration Center of Religious Science is the first separate building on your left. (The big sign outside says Celebration Center of Religious Science.)

From Arlington, or Washington, DC via Route 50 Take Route 50 West, past Route 7 and Annandale Blvd., to Graham Road. Turn right on Graham Road. Go up Graham Road about one mile to the only shopping center on the left before Lee Highway. Take the first left into the shopping center. The Celebration Center of Religious Science is the first separate building on your left.

Plans have changed. I will be in town the 25th and hope to make the DC Cell meeting.
BTW, too many threads about the Bent One's enabler making plans to return to the scene of the crime.

Just how much silverware does she need?

GO AHEAD HILLARY,
. . MAKE OUR DAY!

Date Circled.

Maybe the DC Chapter can hold teach-ins" as the NEA seems confused as to whom to blame for September 11, 2001.

I heard some of that discussion on C-SPAN on the way into work this AM. Made as much sense as the Millions (well, hundreds) for Reparations Rally on Saturday.
