Hangfire had those shades - I don't know if they were his or belonged to somebody else.

The dark blast shields on Jim in the picture I posted were mine.

Just thought I would post a link to the DUmmies commentary on this thread since they are jealous of it. It's funny to see their true colors come through. What a hateful bunch of losers. Mostly they make fun of people's looks.

Including mine! :-) (Hey, they couldn't be making fun of RonDog...hes just too better looking than me!)

That DU thread is just soooooooooo funny! :-)

I like this guy:

I don't get it. Many of the Freepers are fundies. Of all the places they could gather for a convention, (Tenn., S.C., W. Va., Ga., etc) they choose the place that's known for gambling, prostitution,

Prostiutution is not allowed withn the city limits of Las Vegas.

and adult bookstores.

Never laid my eyes on a single adult bookstore. Across the street they had a pizza place, a subway hero shop, a souveneir shop, and a mini mart. Off to the side of the hotel, they had a family friendly indoor shopping mall.

Showgirls in scanty costumes.

Complaint: Never laid my eyes on a single Vegas showgirl in scanty costumes, or otherwise, at all! The show they had in the hotel did not contain a single showgirl, which was just as well since the ticket price was a jaw dropping 88 bucks a piece. But heck, I got to spend my time with real beauties like lurkernomore! and AnnaZ. With girls like that to feast my eyes on, who the hell needs Vegas showgirls?

Free booze in the casinos.

Free my ass! Maybe for their high rollers, but not for us! 2.25 for a small glass of coca cola, and that was mostly ice. Might as well call it a glass of ice with a cola chaser!

And they add their anal retentive speakers to the mix, doubtless railing against moral perversion.

Nah, just railing against liberalism, which is the same thing.

Bet they all had to give bigger than usual donations to the collection plate when they got back. Hypocrites!

I'll take that bet. Wonder what odds he will give me.

Well, thank you. At Klamath, I was truly just trying to help some hard working and patriotic farmer friends of mine who were in desparate need ... and I had my cell phone with me and good friend contacts at FR.

I was honored to accept the award on their behalf much more than my own.

BTW, my wife indicates that the following photo (and I do not know who shot it) was the one she considered the best of me ... and I trust her on that after 25 years of marriage (and grateful that she could think that any photo of me was something she enjoyed looking at).

The story wasn't too meaningful, in that we were all taking turns with the Elivis shades on for photos.

Those were mine, I've got a pair for every day of the week, different color lenses, gold or silver, frames. You can't have too many Elvis shades IMHO;-)

Across the street they had a pizza place, a subway hero shop, a souveneir shop, and a mini mart. Off to the side of the hotel, they had a family friendly indoor shopping mall.

I found the Subway early on; it beat paying 25 bucks for a room service sandwich and chips. I picked up some tasteful Las Vegas souvenirs at that shop across the street (the loaded dice have been a hit). I also picked up a shirt at the Macys at the mall you mentioned ("Fashion Street" or "Fashion Stop" or something like that).

Complaint: Never laid my eyes on a single Vegas showgirl in scanty costumes, or otherwise, at all!

I saw a few that might have been showgirls in mufti, but none in their native habitat.

The show they had in the hotel did not contain a single showgirl, which was just as well since the ticket price was a jaw dropping 88 bucks a piece.

The Cirque du Soleil? Yup. I tried getting tickets for that a month before going, but couldn't find a break on the price anywhere even online. The Star Trek Experience was a heck of a lot more fun and more interesting to me, and it was less than 30 bucks.

But heck, I got to spend my time with real beauties like lurkernomore! and AnnaZ. With girls like that to feast my eyes on, who the hell needs Vegas showgirls?

Tell it, brother ...

"Free booze in the casinos"

I did get free drinks while I was playing dollar slots (got two email addresses as well as the address of an apartment off the Strip where I spent some time Saturday night/Sunday AM; "leer"). You're right about the little "bars" scattered around the place though; beer was seven bucks a pop, and they didn't even have Guinness Stout (had to settle for Heineken, poor baby).

Nice shades too - amber optics. Judging from your handle, you must shoot.

I was going for the "Secret Service MIB Nazi JBT" effect myself, so I brought my black Bolle blast shields.

Bolles are nice, I like my Maui Jims for day to day, Wiley X for shooting, and Walgreens reading glasses for FReeping! LOL;-)
